Heath Streak praises Sahyadri, says it has a World Class Cricket Ground & other facilities in the Campus

During the interaction session with the MBAs, Heath Streak, the former Zimbabwe Cricket Captain & International Cricket Coach, Founder President of Old Mutual Heath Streak International Cricket Trust admired the institution for its World Class Cricket Ground & other facilities in the campus and also for making it available to the community. He said Sahyadrians are fortunate to have been amidst this surrounding. Mr. Joseph Rego, CEO, Partner & Executive Director of Old Mutual Heath Streak International Cricket Trust was also present during the session.

Inauguration of the 1st Start-up of MBA – Sahyadri Capital Advisors LLP

With the guidance of Chairman – Mr. Manjunath Bhandary, the Dept of Business Administration-MBA launched its first start-up – ‘Sahyadri Capital Advisors LLP’, a franchisee of Anand Rathi which is into Financing Services. Nine Sahyadrians Recruited by Diya Systems

Mr. Tejesh Kumar, Ms. Nidhi Rai and Ms. Pooja from the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering; Ms. Pooja Krishna Patil, Ms. Meghana P and Ms. Sushma MB from the Department of Information Science & Engineering and Mr. Krithesh Bhandary, Ms. Pratiksha P Bappal and Ms. PN Manjusha from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering were recruited by Diya Systems for the position of Technical Support Executive in the recently held campus recruitment drive at Sahyadri.

Ambedkar Jayanthi Celebration in the Campus

The students & faculty of Sahyadri paid homage to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on the auspicious occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti (April 14th). Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated to mark the birthday of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, an Indian jurist, politician, philosopher, anthropologist, historian and economist who was also the principal architect of the Constitution of India.

Ms. Ramya K. is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering since 6 years. She did her B.E in Civil Engineering from Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology and M.Tech from Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, with specialization in Computer Aided Design of Structures. She owns the life time membership of Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE).

• Pramod Pai is from Kundapur. He pursued his high school from Govt. PU College, Halady and PUC from Mother Terasa Pre University College, Shankarnarayana. Pramod has won places at district level in Wrestling, Kabbadi, Kho-Kho and Table Tennis. His hobbies are playing games and travelling. He wants to be a good engineer and innovate something new.
• Joyal Thomas Simon is from Karkala. He pursued his high school from Sacred Heart English Medium School, and PU NSAM PU College, Nitte, Karkala. Joyal has participated in district, taluk and state level drawing and at taluk level in Football. He has secured third prize in “Hovermania” event held at NIT Warangal. After completing his engineering he wants to get into one of the best civil companies.
• Anushree A. Nair is from Karkala. She pursued her high school from Jaycee English Medium School, Karkala and PUC from NSAM PU College, Nitte. Her hobby is dancing. She has achieved third place in taluk level speech competition and second place in district level folk dance competition. She wants to be a good engineer and innovate something new.
• Stapley V.S. is from Puttur. He pursued his high school from Mar Ivanious English Medium High School, and PUC from Ambika PU College, Puttur. His hobbies are photography, editing and playing volleyball. He has achieved 10th place in district level volleyball in SSLC as well as PUC. His aspiration is to become an entrepreneur.
• Kathija Bibi is from Mangaluru. She pursued her high school from Indian School ASl Wadil Kabir, Oman and PUC from St. Agnes PU College, Mangaluru. Her hobbies are reading books, playing indoor games and painting. Her aspiration is to build her own construction company and consultancy.
• Nisarga Parthanalli is from Belagavi. She pursued her high school from KRH School, Ghataprabha and PUC from SDMPU College, Dharwad. Her hobbies are reading books and listening to music. Her aspiration is to be a lecturer.
• Mohammed Mustafa H.E. from Shimoga. He pursued his high school from Govt. Junior College, Thirthahalli and PUC from Sahyadri Polytechnic, Thirthahalli. His hobbies are watching and playing cricket, listening to music. His aspiration is to come up in government sector.
• Sachin is from Kundapur. He pursued his high school from HRS High School, Halady and PUC from Mother Teresa PU College. His hobby is travelling. He secured 2nd place in athletics at district level and was selected for state level kabbadi. His aspiration is to build his own construction company and consultancy.
