The Semester VIII results have been announced for the 2015-16 examination conducted by VTU. Sushmitha Shetty has topped the Department of Information Science & Engineering with 79.73% with Rashmi Rai V. securing 79.33% and Sonali P. Rao obtaining 75.20%.
SSTH Team Visits Sharada High School
The SSTH team visited Sharada High School, Kodialbail, to create awareness of the Sahyadri Science Talent Hunt competitions. Mr. Harisha, faculty member accompanied by a team comprising of Mr. Nishanth K. and Mr. Rohith Choudhary of DTlabz demonstrated the working of the Bluetooth controlled bot to students and explained about Sahyadri Science Talent Hunt. Nearly 100 students enthusiastically interacted with the team and showed great interest to participate in upcoming SSTH events.

VTU Semester VIII Results: Sahyadri 88.45%
The VTU results of Semester VIII in all engineering streams offered by the college saw an impressive percentage score in the recently held examinations. Out of 485 students who appeared for the VTU Examination of 2015-16, 249 passed with distinction, 169 with a first class and 11 with a second class, bringing the overall percentage score to 88.45%.
The Department of Information Science & Engineering secured 100 percent results with twenty-two students scoring distinction and twenty-three stundents scoring first class.
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering recorded 92.37 with seventy-one students passed with distinction and thirty-five scored first class.
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering secured 90.35 result with sixty-three students securing a distinction & thirty-seven students with first class.
Tthe Department of Mechanical Engineering secured over all pass percentage of 85.21 percent, while in the Civil Engineering department thirty-one students obtained a distinction, fifteen a first class, bringing the overall percentage score of the department to 76.56 percent.
