First Year Engineering Students will be participating in 'TECHNOVANZA-2k19' at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Mumbai

A total of 19 students of clan “UDBHAV” would be participating in 'TECHNOVANZA-2k19', a Technical Fest in Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Mumbai which will be held during 28th to 30th of December’18. The students are mentored by Dtlabz and the team is headed by Prof. Pavitra Ajagol from the Department of Mechanical Engineering. They will be participating in events such as Robostriker, Robo Sumo, Robomaze, Robosoccer, MonsterArena, Climb-E and Aqua Battle front.

Student Counsellor invited as a Guest Speaker by SDM College, Mangaluru

Mr. Ankith S Kumar, Student Counsellor was invited as a Guest Speaker by Shree Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara (SDM) College of Business Management, Mangaluru to address the general public on the evils of drugs and other substance abuse. The programme was organized by the NSS Unit of SDM College at Kallya near Nandalike, Karkala.

Introduction to the Mentor:
Prof. Shankarayya Shastri has pursued Diploma in Computer Science from Bapuji Polytechnic, Davangere; B.E from STJIT Ranebennur and M. Tech from SDM-CET, Dharwad. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor in the Dept of Computer Science & Engineering and has more than 12 years of teaching experience. He is known for his extensive participation in various committees & activities to expand learning opportunities. His research area includes Data mining, Big Data Analytics, Text Mining & Programming languages.

Introduction to the Mentees:
• NEHA K is from Shivamogga. She completed her schooling in KVS and PU in Mahesh PU College. Her hobbies are Reading novels, Listening to music and Playing both indoor and outdoor games. She participated in State Level Hockey tournament twice. Her career aspiration is to become a Software engineer in reputed multinational software company.
• SHRAVYA K is from Mangaluru. She completed her schooling in BGS Education Centre, Mangaluru and PUC from Sharada PU College. Her hobbies are Arts & Crafts, Reading novels and Drawing. She bagged many prizes in Dancing and Rangoli competitions. Shravya is a meritorious student from 1st to 10th standard. Her aspiration is to work in the field where Art meets Technology.
• BHAVYA is from Puttur. She has completed her schooling in Vivekananda Kannada Medium School, Puttur and PU in Vivekananda PU College, Puttur. Her hobbies are Reading Books & Novels, Collecting coins, Drawing and Listening to music. Her aim is to become a Software Engineer in reputed multinational software company.
• THEERTHA is from Mulki. She pursued her schooling in CSI High School, Karnad & PUC in Vijaya PU College, Mulki. She plays Volley Ball, Throw Ball & Cricket. In free time she likes to Sing & Dance. She wishes to become a Software Engineer in any core company.
• KARTHIK is from Bantwal. He completed his schooling in Satya Sai High School Alike and PU in Vivekananda College, Puttur. As a hobby, he collects coins and involves in gaming activities. His aim is to become a Game Designer using Advanced Graphics Technologies.
• RAMKISHAN is from Udupi. He completed his schooling in SVS English Medium High School Udupi and PU in Poornaprajna College, Udupi. As a hobby, he collects stamps and Plays Cricket. He aims to contribute to the society immensely through his education.
• ACHINTHYA A BANGERA is from Mangaluru. He studied in Nalanda English Medium School, Mangaluru and PU in St. Aloysius College, Mangaluru. His hobbies are Listening to music and Playing Cricket. His aim is to become a Software engineer.
