Mentor-Mentee System at Sahyadri

Mentoring System is an ongoing tradition at Sahyadri. As a part of this system, regular meetings are held, a report card is maintained with both personal and academic details and personalized professional/career advice is given to the mentees by the mentor. Sahyadri proudly presents the details of the Mentors with their Mentees on a daily basis.
Introduction of the Mentor:
Prof. J V Gorabal is currently working as Head-Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Earlier, he worked as the HoD of CSE at RLJIT Doddaballapura. He also worked as a lecturer in Department of Computer Applications at Basaveshwar Engineering College Bagalkot. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Karnataka University Dharwad and Master of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University Belagavi. He completed his PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapura (AP) in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. He is an academician with 21 years of teaching experience. He is active in professional bodies like Computer Society of India and Indian Society for Technical Education. His fields of interests are Image processing & Biometric security. He is associated with Sahyadri since 2011. He is passionate about teaching and mentors students to fulfill their dreams for better society and a better India.

Introduction of the Mentees:
• K Samarth N Kamath is the student of First Semester. He is from Moodabidri. He studied his 10th at Rotary English Medium School Mudabidri and did his PUC from Alvas PU College, Mudabidri. His hobbies are Drawing & Coin Collection. He aspires to start an own company and compete with global organizations.
• Rahul Rama Moger is the student of First Semester. He is from Shivamogga. He studied his 10th at Canara High School Mangalore and did his PUC from Canara P U College Mangalore. His hobbies are Playing Sports of any kind. He wants to be a Game Developer.
• B Muhammad Suhaib is the student of First Semester. He is from Ullal, Mangalore. He studied his 10th at MGC High School Mangalore and did his PUC from St Aloysius P U College, Mangalore. His hobbies are Playing Sports of any kind. He aspires to be an International Athlete and also wants to be a Programmer in terms of his career.
• Rakhi R Shet is the student of First Semester. She is from Santikatte. She studied her 10th from Govt High School Volatadu and PUC from Poorna Prajna PU College, Udupi. Her hobbies include Dancing, Listening to Music, Reading Books and Singing. She wishes to work in Google and also pursue her passion for Dance.
• Sweekrathi H Nayak is the student of First Semester. She is from Mangaluru. She studied her 10th from Janatha Vidyalaya Dandeli and PUC from Alvas PU College, Mudabidri. Her hobbies are Reading Books & Singing. She aspires to become an Ethical Hacker and succeed as an engineer.
• Shraddha K is the student of First Semester. She is from Puttur. She studied her 10th from St Jospeh School Sullia and PUC from Vivekananda PU College Puttur. Her hobby is singing. She intends to pursue her passion in singing and also create her own music album.
