Karnataka CM and DCM Meet of Innovation Projects and Startups in Bengaluru
On the occasion of 100 Days of Governance, Karnataka DCM's 100 Days event was held on 11th Dec’19 at Jnana Jyothi Auditorium in Bengaluru. A team from Sahyadri comprising of Joswin Mark Monteiro, Sahithya D R, K Rakeeb Husain and Neeraj Kumar from the student community of Sahyadri; Mr. Ashwin Shetty, NAIN Karnataka District Associate; Prof. Prashant Duddela, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering; Mr. Ashwith Mendonca, Launchpad Head - Mech Tech and Mr. Akshay P N, Launchpad Head - Challengers, participated in the event.
Out of 40 engineering colleges under NAIN, only 5 got a chance to exhibit, wherein 2 projects namely Trackless Industrial Autonomous AGV with Localization using LIDAR and ISENSE, are from Sahyadri which are funded by NAIN and ELEVATE.
Mr. B S Yediyurappa, Chief Minister and Mr. C N Ashwath Narayan, Deputy Chief Minister visited the stalls and appreciated students and other members for their tremendous effort on the projects and wished good luck for future endeavors.
Coffee Meet-up & Interaction with Start-Ups held at Sahyadri
A Coffee Meet-up & Interaction with Start-Ups was held at Sahyadri on 12th Dec’19 which was jointly organized by Innovate Karnataka, Startup Karnataka and K-Tech. Mr. Jaikrishna Ramesh, Manager-Marketing & Outreach and Mr. Abrar Ahmed, Associate-Marketing & Outreach from Startup Karnataka facilitated the programme. They presented the new Definition of a Startup, Procedures to apply for Elevate/Idea2POC, Incentives under Startup Karnataka scheme, Centre of Excellence under Startup Karnataka and Global Innovation Alliance. Mr. Prajwal M, Community Manager-IKP Knowledge Park gave a virtual tour of the IKP Knowledge Park established in Mangaluru and stimulated participants to visit the premises and view the facility provided for start-up enthusiasts. Mr. Pradeep Kumar from RDL Technologies Pvt Ltd gave a briefing on how Startup Karnataka through Elevate initiative helped to scale up their business. Later, participants went around the campus and visited the in-house companies and start-ups. An interaction session with the students was also held. A total of 46 Startup Heads of Mangaluru region were present for the interaction.
CSE Student selected as Internshala Student Partner for the Second time
Mr. Vineet Nayak S, a student of second year Computer Science & Engineering and VKSSF Scholar gets selected as a Internshala Student Partner as a part of ISP-16 program. Vineet has already represented Internshala during ISP14 program at Sahyadri and had also assisted his friends in getting ready for internships.
Internshala Student Partner 16 (ISP) is a 70-day transformational work-from-college program aimed at building the leaders of tomorrow. The responsibilities of ISP's will be to promote the internships amongst the peers, to help them learn new skills via Internshala Training and also train them to get Internships.

• Niranjan Bhat is from Kundapura. He pursued his high school from VKRAMEMHS Kundapur and studied PUC at Bhandarkars PU College, Kundapura. His hobbies include playing cricket and listening to music. He wants to get a high profile job at a reputed company.
• Ramnath Kini K is from Putur. He pursued his high school from Vivekananda High School, Puttur and PUC from Vivekananda PU College, Puttur. His hobbies include listening to music and watching technology-related videos. His aim is to work in a multinational company as a Software Engineer.
• Ravijna is from Mangaluru. She pursued her High School from Mount Carmel High school, Mangaluru and PUC from St. Aloysius PU College, Mangaluru. Her hobbies are reading books and playing chess. Her aspiration is to become an entrepreneur and manage the company.
• Saiesh is from Kundapura. He pursued his High School from VKRAMEDS, Kundapur and PUC from RNS PU College, Kundapura. He likes Photography, listening to music and playing cricket. He is wishes to be an entrepreneur and start his own company.
• Sohan is from Bantwal. He pursued his High School from S.L.N.P. Vidyalaya and PUC at Canara PU College, Mangaluru. His hobbies include Sketching, Robotics, and playing video games. His dream is to get placed in Google.
• Thrishala is from Mangaluru. She pursued her High School and PUC from Lourdes Central School. Her hobbies are listening to music and reading books. She wishes to pursue higher studies and then work in a company.
• Vishnu H B is from Uppinakudru. He pursued his High School from S F S High School and PUC from RNS PU College. He is interested in sports and games. His aspiration is to become a software developer in a reputed multinational company.
