Major Research Project of MBA faculty approved by ICSSR
A Major Research Project titled - “Skill Assessment & Training to empower Female students of Govt. UG Colleges on Employability-A study in DK District” of Dr. Vishal Samartha, Director-MBA (Project Director) and Prof. Sushma V, Dept. of Business Administration (Co-Director) has been approved with an amount of Rs. 310000/- by Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). The Project is being mentored by Dr. Manjappa S, Director-R&D.
The objective of the proposed project is to analyze the impact of the Training Interventions through Pre-Training and Post-Training Analysis. The study includes conducting Psychometric Tests and Hands-On Tests to identify the Skill Gap and design Training programmes to overcome the gap. A total of 13 UG Govt. colleges have been identified for the study. The outcome of the study should see increased employability of the graduates.
Student of Computer Science & Engineering gets Intel (R) Edge AI Scholarship
Mr Vineet Nayak S, a student of 2nd Year Computer Science & Engineering who is also a Vishwa Konkani Scholar, bags Intel Edge AI Scholarship. The scholarship program is for individuals with some AI exposure who want to deepen their understanding of Computer Vision and Deep Learning.
Top students from the initial Fundamentals Course will be selected for one of 750 follow-up scholarships to the brand-new Intel® Edge AI for IoT Developers Nanodegree Program.

Prof Pavitra Ajagol obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from STJIT, Ranebennur; M.Tech Degree in Product Design and Manufacturing from NIE, Mysuru. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D at VTU. He has 6 years of teaching and two years of research experience. He is active in professional bodies like Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and is a member of Universal Association of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineers (UAMAE). His fields of interests are Composite materials like PMC, MMC and Tribology and Material Characterization.

• Shreyas K M is from Mangaluru. He pursued his schooling from Yenopoya School and PUC from Sri Chaitanya School, Mangaluru. He participated in backstroke swimming and won 1st Prize. He is interested in sports, sketching, and singing. His aspiration is to work as a Design Engineer.
• Vignesha S Shettigar is from Mangaluru. He pursued his schooling from Rotary English Medium School and PUC from SDPT PU College, Mangaluru. He is interested in playing cricket, watching movies and listening to music. His ambition is to work in Aerospace Industry.
• Sanjay Kumar is from Mangaluru. He pursued his schooling and PUC from Sharadha Vidyniketana Public School, Mangaluru. His hobbies are singing, reading novels, playing football, storytelling. He is a state level football player. His aspiration is to become a skilled Marine Engineer.
• Raushan Fayez is from Mangaluru. He pursued his schooling from Rosario High School and PUC from Mahesh PU College, Mangaluru. His hobbies are playing cricket and listening to music. His ambition is to become Design Engineer.
• Mohammed Yasin is from Bhatkal. He pursued his schooling from Islamia Anglo High School and PUC from Anjuman PU College, Bhatkal. His hobbies are drawing, playing cricket, photography, travelling and video editing. His ambition is to work as a Design Engineer.
