Principal of SDM College of Naturopathy & Yogic Science, Ujjire visits Sahyadri

Dr. Prashanth Shetty, Principal, SDM College of Naturopathy & Yogic Science along with his team visited Sahyadri to discuss about the plans and preparations for the upcoming mega event "Nishhgopachar Mahotsav 2020", a free Yoga and Naturecure Awareness Camp.

The event is organized by Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College & Hospital of Naturopathy and Yogic Science, Ujjire and sponsored by National Institute of Naturopathy, Pune and Ministry of AYUSH, Govt of India.

Dr. R Srinivasa Rao Kunte, Principal, Mr. Devadas Hegde, Trustee, Mr. Ramesh Bhandary, Mr. Shreekanrth Shetty and others were present during the meeting. The event will be held at Sahyadri on 9th Feb’2020 on account of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Caliper Participates in “DEFEXPO 20”, India’s Largest Defence Exhibition

Mr. Natarajan, QA Manager, Caliper Engineering & Lab Pvt Ltd, an in-house Industry, represented Sahyadri’s in-house companies and start-ups in India’s largest Defence Exhibition “DEFEXPO 20” held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

DEFEXPO is conducted by the Govt of India once in two years, to bring together defence manufacturing companies and supply chain in all fields. Large display of products to be or developed or manufactured is done and an exclusive MSME pavilion is created to make awareness of opportunities in the Defence Sector.

Student Counsellor Invited as a Resource Person for a Seminar on “Self Awareness” by Besant Institutions

Mr Ankith S Kumar, Student Counselor, was invited as a resource person for a Seminar on “Self Awareness” for the Undergraduates of Besant Degree College.

The seminar was organized by the Department of Secretarial Practices in order to help students understand their true self, their strengths and weaknesses through introspection.

Prof. Vikas G has obtained his B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from VVIET, Mysuru and M.Tech in Product Design and Manufacturing from NIE, Mysuru. He has 6.5 years of teaching experience. Presently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. on Composite Materials at SJEC- RC from VTU.

Introduction of the Mentees:
• Rasheen Ahmed is from Mangaluru. He pursued his schooling from Rosario High School and PUC from St. Aloysius PU College, Mangaluru. He is interested in arts like drawing and painting. His aspiration is to work for Apple.

• Sweedone J Dsouza is from Kasaragod. He pursued his schooling from St Joseph’s High School, Kulshekar and PUC from Padua College, Mangaluru. He is interested in the field of RC Control and aspires to work in Merchant Navy.

• Shreyank S is from Mangaluru. He pursued his schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya and PUC from Govinda Dasa PU College, Mangaluru. He is interested in Football and Cricket. His aspiration is to work in Merchant Navy.

• Nikhil G V is from Mangaluru. He pursued his schooling from Milagres High School and PUC from St Aloysius PU College, Mangaluru. His hobbies include playing football, swimming and cycling. He wishes to pursue higher studies abroad and start up his own firm.

• Ibhrahim Mohammed is from Mangaluru. He pursued his schooling from Yenepoya High School and PUC from Mahesh PU College, Mangaluru. He has a dream of gaining knowledge by getting into the depth of Mechanical Engineering and transforming into long term goals. His aspiration is to work in a company like Ferrari.
