Faculty from the Mechanical Dept obtains NPTEL Certification

Prof. Abhishek K, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering and also a faculty of Industry Connect (IC) at Caliper Engineering and Lab Pvt. Ltd has been awarded ELITE Certificate in the Course “Introduction to Abrasive Machining and Finishing Processes” through NPTEL Online Certification. The said online certification course was funded by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India and conducted by IIT Guwahati. Mentor Introduction
Prof. Deepthishree S A has completed her Bachelor of Engineering from Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial Institute of Technology, Nitte and M.Tech from Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management. She has a teaching experience of 4 years and industry experience of 3 years in the field of Software training. She is currently pursuing her PhD on “Experimental Investigation on Corrugated wall panels” under the guidance of Dr. Premanand Shenoy. She has a few National and International publications to her credit and her area of expertise is Structural Engineering. She is a life member of ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education) and Council of Engineers and Valuers.

• Ms. Swathi A has completed her preliminary education from Vidya Rathna English Medium School, Deralakatte and PUC from St. Agnes, Mangaluru. She hails from Mangaluru. Crafting and Painting are her hobbies. She has won 3rd place in Prototype competition (App Development). She aspires to complete her Masters and become an entrepreneur.
• Mr. Nagesh Nayak has completed his preliminary education from SDM English Medium School and PUC from SDM PU College, Ujire. His native is Guruvayankere. In his free time he likes to draw, paint and play. He has represented for Taluk level in Drawing Competition and Kabaddi. He aspires to be a good artist and travel across the globe.
• Mr. K Laxminarayana is from Krishnapura, Surathkal and has completed his school and college in Vidyadayini English Medium School, Surathkal and SDPT PU College, Kateel respectively. His interests are Karate, Sports and Yakshagana. He aspires to be a successful engineer.
• Mr. Dhanush P is from Nileshwar. He has completed his preliminary education from Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Nileshwar and PUC from Sharada Vidyaniketan, Mangaluru. His hobbies are Designing and Programming. He is the Co-design Head at Sahyadri Open Source Community and also a zonal cricket player. He aspires to be a continuous learner and excel in his career.
• Mr. Nizaam P S M hails from Puttur and has studied in Bethany English Medium High School, Darbe, Puttur and PUC from St. Philomena PU College, Darbe, Puttur. He is interested in playing outdoor games and his ambition is to become an entrepreneur.
• Ms. Aishwarya Kasargod has completed her preliminary education from BEMHSS, Kasargod and Navajeevan HSS Perdala, Badiadka. She likes to play chess in her free time. She has participated in Science fest and aspires to be a successful engineer.
• Mr. Mohammad Maiz is from Bantwal and has completed his preliminary education from Vittal Jaycees English Medium School, Basavangudi, Vitla and PUC from St. Philomena PU College, Darbe, Puttur. He spends his free time reading books and watching movies. He aspires to be an entrepreneur.
