Promotion of Sahyadri MSME – Business Incubator begins

Dr. Rajesh A. Shetty, Faculty In-charge, MSME - Incubation Centre Project and Dr. Rathishchandra R. Gatti, Head of Projects & Funding, visited Kanara Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mangalore and CEOL, Incubation Centre to promote MSME – Sahyadri Incubation Centre and requested them to communicate to start-ups and industries, to apply for initial MSME Grants through Sahyadri.

During this visit, the faculty interacted with Mr. Isaac Vas, President, KCCI and Mr. Pradeep Raj, Manager, CEOL, who offered their support to create the awareness about this MSME Scheme among their associated industries.

Student Counsellor invited as Guest speaker for the Commemoration of Vivekananda’s Birth Anniversary

Mr Ankith S Kumar, Student Counsellor was invited as Guest Speaker for the programme organized in commemoration of the 157th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The general public along with representatives from the local administration organized the programme at Vivekananda Park, Bejai.

Mr Ankith S Kumar had the honor of inaugurating the event. He spoke about the life and ideologies of Swami Vivekananda and urged the youth to take up the lead for nation building.

The guests who were present at the event included dignitaries viz. Mr. Shashidhar Hegde, Ex-Mayor; Mr Prakash B Salian, Ex-Corporator; Mr Sudheer Kumar, Current Corporator, Mr Venu Sharma and several other guests.

Mr Raghuraj Kadri, Professor, facilitated the programme. Mr Ravichandra B from Placement Dept. was also present as a part of the organizing team.

Prof. Sangeetha S Harikanta obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from KVG College of Engineering, Sullia and M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from N.M.A.M. Institute of Technology, Nitte. Her area of interest is Natural Language Processing. She has published a few Papers in national and international conferences/journals. She has 3 years of teaching experience.

Introduction of the Mentees:
• Nidish P Kottari is from Mangaluru. He pursued his schooling from Cambridge School and PUC from Sharada PU College, Mangaluru. His hobby is collecting foreign coins and stamps. He aspires to work in Google.

• Neha is from Udupi. She pursued her schooling from Sharada Vidyalaya and PUC from S.D.P.T Pre-University, Udupi. Her hobbies are gardening, watching TV and listening to music. She aspires to work in a software company with good package.

• Gautham Shetty is from Mangaluru. He pursued his schooling from Sharada Vidyalaya and PUC from Sharada P.U College, Mangaluru. His hobbies are reading books, painting and listening to music. He aspires to become a great engineer and work in a reputed company.

• Sunidhi S Patwardhan from Bantwal. She pursued her schooling from Saraswathi English Medium School, Mundaje and PUC from SDM PU College, Ujire. Her hobbies are reading books, singing, drawing and painting. She wants to become a successful Software Engineer.

• Nima is from Kundapura. She pursued her schooling from Sri Venkataramana English Medium School and PUC from Sri Venkatramana PU College, Kundapura. Her hobbies are reading books, painting, listening to music and dancing. She wants to become a successful Software Engineer.

• Swati S from Bengaluru. She pursued her schooling from Sri Vani Education Center and PUC from Mangalore Independent PU College, Bengaluru. Her hobbies are dancing, travelling, drawing, and sketching. She aspires to work in Google or Amazon.
