Petition Committee Team of the Members of Legislative Council visits Sahyadri

The Petition Committee Members of the Karnataka Legislative Council visited campus on 23rd Jan’2020. The committee comprised of Honorable Members Mr. Marithibbe Gowda, Mr. Prakash Rathod, Mr. P. R Ramesh and Mr. Mohan Kumar Kondajji.
The Committee members were accompanied by Senior Political Leader, Mr. Naveen Shetty. They interacted with the chairman and were taken across the campus. They reviewed the infrastructure and the academic ambience and lauded the chairman on his excellent commitment towards building an institute of such magnitude.
The Karnataka Legislative Council Committee of Petitions, consider and report on petitions presented to the House. Also to consider representations from various individuals, associations etc. not covered by the rules relating to petitions and give directions for their disposal.

Sahyadri 10K Run Mangaluru – The Countdown to the Mega Event Begins

In order to accomplish the ‘Swaccha - Parisara - Hasiru – Usiru’ mission, Dakshina Kannada Athletic Association is organizing a Mega event ‘Sahyadri 10K Run, Mangaluru’, in line with Fit India Movement. This event is promoted by Bhandary Foundation.

The event will have various categories of Run. The major one is Competitive 5K Run for Students. This involves preparing future runners, for national and international championships. The age group is 16-25 years and it is exclusively for students.

Students are requested to participate in large numbers. Win attractive giveaway prizes, cash awards, medals and certificates.

A Remarkable Event of Promoting Healthy Environment through Run, the Sahyadri 10K Run Mangaluru is first of its kind taking place in Karnataka, exclusively sponsored by The Department of Youth Empowerment & Sports, Government of Karnataka and three renowned universities viz. Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru; Mangalore University, Mangaluru and Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi.
