IBM Campus Connect Programe

IBM has commenced the training session for the selects of the 2019 Batch. IBM has come up with a new proposal this year regarding its training period for Fresher’s i.e., IBM Campus Connect. IBM Campus Connect trains the fresher’s in their respective colleges for a period of time depending on the course they are to be trained. A total of 75 students have been attending the training session. They are divided into three technical courses - Core Java, C# and Software Testing. The training will be followed by an assessment.

Sahyadrian Recruited by Blackfrog Technologies Pvt Ltd.

Sudesh N Acharaya from the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering was selected by Blackfrog Technologies Pvt Ltd. for the role of Junior Prototyping Engineer, in the recently held recruitment drive at Sahyadri.

Blackfrog Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is a Product Development company with a particular focus on BioMedical Devices; they are backed by the Govt. of India for the development of a 'Portable Vaccine Carrier'.

Academic Administrative Officer invited as a resource person for Swacch Manas Programme at Nalanda School

Ms. Shreelatha U A, Academic Administrative Officer was invited as a resource person for the Swacch Manas Programme organized for the Primary and High School Students by Ramakrishna Mission at Nalanda English Medium School, V T Road, Mangaluru. Ms. Shreelatha U A helped the students to understand the importance of cleanliness and made them aware of their roles to create a clean and beautiful society. She also explained the importance of keeping oneself clean and also how the children should develop clean and pure thoughts. Post the session, Ms. Savitha N Kamath, The Headmistress led the students in an oath for Swacchata through which the children pledged to work towards creating a clean society with purity in their thoughts. More than 110 students from class 5th to 9th participated in this Swaccha Manas programme.

Bridge Course – Second Batch of Engineering 2019

Students were introduced to computer aided design software Onshape. This software enables students to design the robots for their final mega event. The students learnt the basics of sketching and part modelling features of the software. Further, they will create the design of the robot chassis based on the requirements of the problem statement.

He has completed his B.E in Computer Science & Engineering from JSS Academy of Technical Education & M. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from GSS Institute of Technology. His area of specialization is Computer Science.

• Mr. Sunil H V has joined the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering as an Assistant Professor. He has completed his B.E in Mechanical Engineering from JNNCE, Shimoga & M. Tech in Machine Design from Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. His area of specialization is Machine Design.


• Ms. Megha Rani R has joined the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering as an Assistant Professor. She has completed her B.E in Information Science & Engineering from MITE, Moodbidri and M. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from Srinivasa Institute of Technology, Valachil. Her area of specialization is Computer Network.

Tomorrow at Sahyadri

Department of Civil Engineering in association with Karnataka State Pollution Control Board would be conducting a Workshop on “AIR POLLUTION AND ITS IMPACT ON CLIMATE CHANGE” observing World Environment Day 2019 during 28th to 29th June 2019 at Ground Floor Seminar Hall. The main objective of the workshop is to educate participants about the impact of Air Pollution and monitoring of the various dimensions of the problems of air pollution, to highlight the technical and managerial aspects of air pollution control and to create awareness on laws and legislation of air pollution control.
