Webinar, jointly organized by MBA Dept. and Technical Career Education (TCE)

Dept. of Business Administration in association with Technical Career Education (TCE), organized a webinar on “The Digital Transformation of India”. The key note speaker for the webinar was Mr. Anil Nair, Managing Director, Country Digitalization (APJC), CISCO SYSTEMS. The Session was facilitated by Mr. Raman Madhok, Managing Director, Kahani Design Works Mumbai. The session was Moderated by Mr. Johnson Tellis, CEO of TCE.
Mr. Nair gave insights about Country Digital Acceleration and also gave a glimpse of various industries like
• Agriculture: Holistic farming, Prawn and Shrimp farming and also spoke about technology in farming by giving an example of sensors to collect characteristics of soil
• Manufacturing: Industry 4.0
• Healthcare: Telemedicine, Medical bus, Teleconference to connect to the Doctors
• Education: Teleconference Teaching and DRUVA scheme undertaken by them where 44 women’s college was facilitated with Videocon facility
• Mining and other Service industry
He concluded the session by enthusiastically answering all the queries and also suggested students to read a book titled - “Digital Disruption, A force is so chaotic that industries dissolve and recombine”. Students and Professionals of Sahyadri and other organizations attended the webinar.

Civil Engineering Students of Fourth Semester visit Bridge cum Salt Water Exclusion Dam Construction Site

Students of Fourth Semester Civil Engineering visited Bridge cum Salt Water Exclusion Dam Construction Site at Harekala and interacted with the site engineers. The students were briefed regarding the site plan of the project, Geotechnical challenges involved in the execution of project, Foundation Details, RC Detailing and Dam component design specifications employed for the project.
Recently, the Dept. of Civil Engineering was awarded to offer Project Management Consultancy for the same by the Dept. of Minor Irrigation, Dakshina Kannada District.
Students were accompanied by the Faculty Members of Civil Engineering Department.

Student Counsellor enters World Book of Records, London

Mr. Ankith S Kumar, Student Counsellor received the honour of getting his name entered in the prestigious World Book of Records, London for his participation in Indian largest Virtual Psychology Conference organized by 3G School of Psychology, an Initiative of 3G IRPS, IIT Madras Research Park, Chennai. He received this honour for his participation in India's largest Psychology Virtual Conference-2021 with 40+ speakers, 3000+ college participation, 10,000+registration and 3000+ volunteers on a mission to create an Artificial Intelligence integrated Psychology Platform. The event was held during January 30th to February 1st , 2021.

Campus Recruitment Drive – Apisero

Apisero conducted a Campus Recruitment drive on 12th March’2021 for the Computer Science, Information Science and Electronics & Communication Engineering students of 2021 outgoing batch. The recruitment is for the position of Software Engineer / Solution Apprenticeship Architect and the package offered is INR 5.1 LPA to 7 LPA. Results are awaited.
