Oratocrats Club Members Attend Sci-Fi Fest "Epsilon 2016"

The student members of the Oratocrats Club of the College; a forum for future leaders, attended the PESIT College Sci-Fi Fest "Epsilon 2016" in Bangalore. They participated in various techno-literary events including "Convergence", where one had to formulate theories to explain various science fiction phenomenons like invisibility, Wolverine's healing capabilities, Teleportation, Matrix, White Hole, Dark Matter Engine etc. and defend their theories. In another event called "Imposter" the team had to acquire a set of clues in a criminal case and find the culprit by conducting forensic tests and interrogation. The "Sci-Fi" expo involved presenting new breakthrough projects which were conceived in science fiction movies of the yesteryears. In "Blitzkrieg" student teams had to build a working moving model of a car from the junk given to them. "Judgment Day" was a technical treasure hunt to solve a set of clues by using engineering skills in order to save the world and "Close Encounter" was a debate on scientific issues.

The team learnt a lot of innovative concepts, interacted with students and professors of various colleges enabling the intellectual exchange of ideas. The teams’ participation, discipline, creativity and involvement in all events were appreciated by the coordinators of the fest.
