State Budget 2017 – Presentation & Discussion by MBAs
• Presentation & Discussion on “State Budget 2017” has been organized by Department of Business Administration from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm at Ground Floor Seminar Hall. Dr. Savitha, Professor, Manipal School of Management, Manipal & Prof. Hariprasad B Shetty, Govt. First Grade College, Vamadapadav would be the resource persons. This would be a great platform for the students to present their views on the prime sectors like Education, Health, Social Welfare Programmes, Agriculture, Rural Development Programmes, Infrastructure & Industrial Development.


• Hinduja Global Solutions is visiting Sahyadri to conduct pooled campus recruitment drive for the shortlisted candidates in Preliminary round, as part of their final round of selection.

Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS) was established in India under the name ALIT (Ashok Leyland Information Technology), providing information technology services in 1993 with just one client and 25 employees. ALIT was merged with Hinduja Finance Corporation (HFC) in 2000 to form HGS. Between 2000 and 2003, HGS won businesses of major international clients, who were among the leaders in the Insurance & Telecom industries, thus establishing itself as a major player in the contact center industry. 2003 also marked the company's entry into international markets, with the establishment of its center in Manila. HGS currently has a globalfootprint of 55 delivery centres in India, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Canada, Mauritius, France, Germany, Italy, Jamaica, the Netherlands, and Philippines.

• Mr. Arjun Satheesh, Head of Operations, Good Methods Global, will be visiting Sahyadri for an interactive session with the students of Sahyadri E-Cell.

Sahyadrians Win in Competitions of VTU Youth Fest YUVA KALANJALI - 2017

Sahyadrians Win in Competitions of VTU Youth Fest YUVA KALANJALI - 2017 The VTU Youth Fest - 2017 was held at Sir. M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. Thirty-eight students of Sahyadri cultural team contested against 95 VTU affiliated colleges. The team participated in 21 events in the Youth Fest and ranked top 10 in all the events. The team with Chinmaya Bharan M.R. 8th sem CV, Abhishek M.B. 2ndsem Mech, Dhanush D. 2nd sem EC, Navaneeth 6th sem EC, Rupesh 4th sem Mech, Anuraj Chauta 6th sem Mech, Rahul 4th sem Mech won the second place (7 silver medals) in the folk orchestra Competition and received appreciation from various other colleges.

Sahyadri Talent

Shreya D. G, student of II Semester Computer Science & Engineering, is a State Level dancer in Indian classical dance form - Bharatanatyam. She has participated in several dance competitions. She has cleared ‘Bharatanatyam Senior Grade’, the exam conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board with distinction.
