Sahyadrian secures 2nd place in ALL India Inter-University WUSHU competition held at Punjab University, Chandigarh

Namrasha N Ganiga of First year MBA won 2nd place in ALL India Inter-University WUSHU competition held at Punjab University, Chandigarh. With this, Sahyadri has scaled higher in its achievement at All India Level competitions as Namrasha is the first to get a Medal for Sahyadri at All India-Inter University Competition.

HOD of Mathematics presents a Research Paper in an International Conference

Prof. Prashantha Rao, HOD of Mathematics has presented a research paper entitled - ‘Translation and Derivations in C- Trellises’ in an International Conference on Recent Inventions and Innovations in Mathematical Sciences (ICRIIMS-2019) held at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.

Introduction of the Mentor:
Mr. Mahadev U M has obtained his B.E degree in Mechanical Engineering from PDA College of Engineering, Gulbarga and M.Tech in Production Engineering and System Technology from UBDT College of Engineering Davangere. He is currently pursuing Ph.D from VTU Belagavi in the area of Production of Aluminium Metal Foams. He has 6 years of teaching experience and he is with Sahyadri since the last 5 years. He has published 6 papers in renowned Journals. His research interests are Composite materials, Production Engineering and Machining Processes.

Introduction of the Mentees:
• Vaishak is from Surathkal, Mangaluru. He did his schooling at Sharada high school and studied PUC at Sharada PU College Mangaluru. His hobbies are Playing football, Art and drawing. In first Semester he participated in Scientific event (Hovercraft, Line followers, Water propulsion) held at NIT Bhopal and secured 1st place in Hovercraft and 2nd place in water propulsion. In Second Semester he participated in Scientific event (Robo rover, Line follower and water propulsion) held at IIT Ropar and secured 1st place in water propulsion and 2nd place in line follower. He aspires to be a successful engineer to serve the society.
• Ashwij Shetty is from Puttur. He did his schooling at Sudana Residential School Puttur and studied PUC at Vivekananda PU College, Puttur. His Hobbies are Drawing, Driving and playing cricket. In first year, he has done the SIP Project (Automatic Speed Controlling robot) and secured 2nd place with cash prize Rs 3,000. He aspires to join any of the core mechanical industries like Tata Motors.
• Shreyas Dhanush is from Mangaluru. He did his schooling from St. Aloysius high School Mangaluru and studied PUC at St. Aloysius PU College Mangaluru. His Hobbies are Swimming and Dancing. He participated in Dance+ Season-3 and was selected in best of 36 in All India Level and also participated in India’s Got Talent Season-8 and was selected in best of 24 in All India Level. His aspiration is to become a Dancer.
• Sanjay is from Mangaluru. He did his schooling from Canara High School Mangaluru, and studied PUC at Sharada PU College Mangaluru. His hobbies are playing cricket, Drawing, cycling and swimming. He participated in Jankyard Event held in IIT Mandi and secured third place. He also participated in Obstacle avoider held at NIT Hamirpur and secured first place. His aspiration is to join a Marine Company like Anglo Eastern.
• Sourabh Bhat S is from Kasargod, Kerala. He did his schooling at H.F.H.S school Rajapuram and studied PUC at H.F.H.S school Rajapuram. His hobbies are swimming, trekking and driving. He is aspires to join a core mechanical industry like JSW, Toyota.
• Prajwal Nayak is from Udupi. He did his schooling from Govt. high School Udupi and studied PUC at Poornaprajna P.U. College Udupi. His hobbies are Cycling and drawing. His aspiration is to become an Entrepreneur and have his own startup.
• Pavan Kumar is from Mangaluru. He did his schooling from St. Joseph Junior College Mangaluru, and studied Diploma at SNS Polytechnic College Sunkadkatte. His hobbies are Playing cricket and Listening to songs. His aspiration is to join a Marine Company like Anglo Eastern.
