VTU sponsored Three-Day workshop on “Aspects of LTE-4G” under TEQIP 1.3

During the Day Two of the workshop, the demonstration of latest EC25 QUECTEL Modem was arranged jointly with RDL Technologies with objective to create awareness about real time issues, solutions, products in the area of 4G LTE. RDL technologies also demonstrated its new product series EC25 QUECTEL Modem.

During the Day Three of the workshop, Dr. Sondur Lakshmipathi, Former Technical Director, Founder Director of MYMO wireless technology Pvt. Ltd. spoke on the topic – “Uplink channel Transport processing and physical layer procedures”.

The research article titled – “Analyzing Dermoscopy Images using Soft-Computing Tools” co-authored by Dr. Ananth Prabhu, Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering is accepted for publication in International Conference on Signal Processing and Communication (ICSPC 2019).

Mechanical Engineering Students visit Lamina Suspension Products Limited

The fourth semester students of Mechanical Engineering have visited Lamina Suspension Products Limited, a leading leaf spring manufacturer based in Baikampady. Through this visit, the students came across various stages of leaf spring manufacturing and the various testing methods used to produce high quality springs. Students also got ideas about the various types of leaf springs available in the market. The visit also motivated them to explore more about heat treatment techniques used in manufacturing industries. This visit was guided by Dr. Rajesh A. Shetty, Dr. Ratishchandra R. Gatti and Dr. Niraj Joshi.

Sweekriti M. Shetty is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. She did her B.E in Information Science and Engineering from AIET Mijar, Moodbidri and M.Tech from Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management with Computer Science and Engineering as specialization. She has 3.5 years of teaching experience. Her area of interest is Cloud Computing.

• Sanjitha Srisha is from Mangaluru. She pursued her high school from Indian School, Muscat and PUC from St. Ann’s Composite PU College, Mangaluru. Her hobbies are drawing, dancing and reading. She participated in “SAAVYAS 2018”, a Techno-Cultural Fest organized by NIT, Goa. She aspires to become testing engineer.
