Sahyadri Art & Cultural Cell wins Overall Championship in ‘Halcyon-2020’, the State Level Summer Fest at Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur

Team “Thallana” of Sahyadri, comprising of students from various branches of engineering participated in the State Level Summer Fest ‘Halcyon-2020’ held at Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur, during 27th to 29th Feb’2020.
Around 39 colleges participated in the Fest. Various competitions like Skit, Radioactive, Face Painting and Mime were organized. The Team “Thallana” of Sahyadri participated alongside teams of other colleges and won First Place in Skit, Radioactive & Face Painting and won Second Place in Mime.

Prof. Manjunath S R obtained his B.E Degree from J.S.S. Academy of Technical Education, Bengaluru and M.Tech Degree from GSS Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. He has 2.5 years of teaching experience. He has published an article in national and international journals. His research interests are Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

Introduction of the Mentees:
• Rithish R K is from Bengaluru. He pursued his schooling from Narayana E-techno School and PUC from Narayana PU College, Bengaluru. His hobbies include playing with electronic gadgets and learning new concepts. He aspires to pursue higher studies (MS) and is interested to work in the research field of Artificial Intelligence.
• Abhishek N Salian is from Mangaluru. He pursued his schooling from NIEK School and PUC from Mahesh PU College, Mangaluru. His hobbies include singing and drawing. He aspires to become a Software Developer and work in Microsoft /Google.

VTU Inter-collegiate Mangaluru Zone Cricket Mens’ Tournament

Sahyadri is organizing VTU Inter-collegiate Mangaluru Zone Cricket Mens’ Tournament which will be held at the Sahyadri Riverside Ground. Seventeen teams from various colleges of Mangaluru Zone will be participating in this tournament. The Inaugural Match will be held at 8.30am.
