Director - MBA opens Demat Account at Sahyadri Capital Advisors Dr. Vishal Samartha, Director – Department of Business Administration opens a Demat (Dematerialisation) Account. She was accompanied by Prof. Padmanabha B. and Dr. Azhar Shaheen S. Shaikh.
Sahyadri Capital Advisors LLP is a stockbroking firm established as recently as April 2019. The main aim of this firm is to facilitate students and staff of Sahyadri to invest their monies in the best possible way. Sahyadri Capital Advisors is seeking support in utilizing products and services optimally by all the stake holders of Sahyadri.
There will be an awareness programme held shortly.

Department of Civil Engineering organizes Workshop

Department of Civil Engineering organizes Workshop Dept of Civil Engineering organizes Workshop on Scientific and Technical Research Paper writing for the faculties of Civil Engineering. The resource person was Dr. Gautam J.P., Department of Chemical Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal. He has published papers in highly reputed journals.
In his address, Dr. Gautam emphasized the need for publishing the research papers based on the research findings to have better professional growth in the field of teaching. He educated the faculties as to how to choose a publisher and also spoke about high-quality journals, the challenges faced by an author in publishing high-quality peer-reviewed journals and how to overcome those challenges. Finally, he demonstrated the way of submitting a research paper.
Overall, the participants found the Workshop comprehensive and useful.

Faculty Dr. S. Ramakrishna Sharma takes Indian Scientific Heritage to Sweden.

Faculty Dr. S. Ramakrishna Sharma takes Indian Scientific Heritage to Sweden. Sustainable SWEDEN iS-FIVE is an International Sustainability Field Visits and Exploration Program hosted by MDH University, Sweden. A team of 20 delegates from India are participating in this unique program which is to be held from 5-10th May 2019. The delegates are selected by the Anaadi Foundation Palani, Tamil Nadu, from among those who applied for such an opportunity.
Dr S. Ramakrishna Sharma, Adjunct Professor, Indian Scientific Heritage, Department of Humanities is in the team. Dr. Sharma will be presenting his research activities related to “Sustainable Development Models in Indian Scientific Heritage”. Under this broad umbrella of Vedic Science, Dr. Sharma will present:
1) The Power Wheel: Bow in Action
2) Coconut Tree: Kalpa Vruksha – Mother Nature’s Model
3) Indian Cow: Kama Dhenu – A sustainable Interface between Human and Mother Nature
4) VFIM: Vedic Foundation of Indian Management
5) Dhanurveda for Defence: Sustainable Energy Resource for Armament, to a variety of audience which includes University faculties, research students, government officials and policy makers.

Dr Sharma hopes to strike an accord to effect “Do it in India” research initiatives by the Swedish stakeholders in collaboration with Foundation for Indian Scientific Heritage (F-I-S-H) Trust, Surathkal and possibly with Sahyadri.

Campus Recruitment Drive - Ankit Fasteners Private Limited Ankit Fasteners Private Limited visited Sahyadri to conduct a Recruitment drive for the Mechanical Engineering students of 2019 outgoing batch.
Mr. Hariprasad T H- HOD, Projects, Mr. Prashanth Mistry- HOD, Engineering, Mr. Paul George- Manager, Industrial Engineering & Methods, and Mr. Suresh Kumar- Manager, Training & Development from the recruitment team, were at the campus to facilitate the process. A total of 70 students participated in the drive, out of which 9 students were shortlisted.
Ankit Fasteners Private Limited (AFPL) is a dedicated aerospace fasteners manufacturing company in Bangalore, India. It is a joint venture between Ankit Group, Bangalore and LISI Aerospace, Paris, France. Ankit Group has over 35 years’ experience in fastener manufacturing in India.

• Sanskrithi G. Boliyar is from Mangaluru. She pursued her high school from Kendriya Vidyalaya and PUC from St. Agnes PU College, Mangaluru. She possesses good communication skills. Her hobbies include reading and cooking. She aspires to become a successful engineer.
• Amrutha Wagle is from Mangaluru. She pursued her high school in Vishwamangala High school, Konaje and PUC in Sri Rama PU College, Kalladka. Her hobbies include photography and reading books. She wants to become a successful electronics engineer and wants to be placed in Indian Navy.
• Jibin Joseph is from Kerala. He pursued his high school and PUC from St.Thomas Higher Secondary School, Kasargod. His hobbies are photography and watching movies. He aspires to become a successful engineer.
• Rahul is from Mangaluru. He pursued his high school and PUC from Canara High School and Canara PU College, Mangaluru. His hobbies are playing cricket and watching movies. He aspires to become a successful engineer.
• Naela Khan is from Mangaluru. She pursued her high school at Canara High School, CBSE and PUC at St. Agnes PU College, Mangaluru. She loves poetry and books. She aspires to pursue her passion for public speaking alongside being a communications engineer.
