Zonal event of SSTH-2016 held at Lourdes Central School, Mangaluru
The Zonal event of SSTH-2016 was held at Lourdes Central School, Mangaluru, during which, Mr.Vinay B U, Assistant Professor from the Department of Mechanical Engineering addressed the gathering, and discussed with the students about application of science in the Contemporary World and its importance. Mr. Lawrence J Fernandes and Mr. Ashok Kumar G P, Assistant Professors from the Department of Mechanical Engineering evaluated the projects. Certificates for participation as well as to the winners were distributed during the valedictory ceremony.

Advanced Business & Healthcare Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. conducted the pooled campus recruitment drive for the engineering students of the 2017 batch. Ms. Anitha Kamath, Senior Recruiter, from the Advanced Business & Healthcare Solutions accompanied by panelists on the recruitment team were at the campus to facilitate the entire recruitment process.

Dr. Vishal Samartha, Prof. Mithun Ullal and Prof. Sushma V from the Department of Business Administration facilitated a Management Development Programme (MDP) on “Born to Win” for HOD’s of AJ Hospital, Mangalore. The programme was designed to engage the Middle Level Leaders of AJ Hospital in attaining the Strategic Goals of the organisation and contribute collaboratively towards its growth. With this purview, three sessions were facilitated by Dr. Vishal Samartha, Prof. Mithun Ullal and Prof. Sushma V on Leadership, Self Management & Strategic Thinking respectively. The sessions were interaction and activity based which was appreciated by the 55 participants who adorned managerial positions in various departments like Accounting, Pharmacy, IT, Insurance, Mediclaim, HR, Administration and so on.
Post receiving the feedback from participants, the management team of AJ Hospital requested the facilitators to conduct similar programme for the Nursing Department as well.
