Sahyadrians Recruited by iWave Systems

One student Shrithi, of Information Science & Engineering, is recruited for the position of Software Engineer during the recent Campus Recruitment Drive.

Team Dreamers emerge as Winners at Indo Data Week 2020 Supported by Govt of Telangana

The first edition of Hackathon for Good in India kicked off virtually on 16 Nov’2020 and was organised at the Indo Data Week for Sustainable Development by DAV Data Solutions in partnership with WorldStartup, Govt. of Telangana, Cittamap and Ambee.
Thirteen teams with participants from India, Nepal, Netherlands and Turkey worked for three days to co-create data and AI driven solutions to augment the climate-resilience of agriculture in urban and peri-urban regions in Telangana.
The teams were given access to national and international mentors along with structured boot camps during the Indo Data Week. The solutions were pitched to a Jury consisting of Ms. Shalini Talluri, Mr. Madhusudhan A., Mr. Bobby Bahov and Mr. Jayesh Ranjan.
Team Dreamers consisting of Prajwal Shetty, Final Year Mechanical Engineering, Abhinaya, Final Year Information Science & Engineering, Kavana Tilak, Third Year Computer Science & Engineering, Thilak V.S. Final Year Mechanical and Ashwija, Third Year Information Science & Engineering emerged as winners for their Agro-forestry Solution to improve food security and build sustainable agricultural solutions.
The winning team will be awarded a cash prize of Rupees One Lakh and will be provided a platform to implement and scale their solution.

Team Challengers to participate in American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Competition, USA

aiaa Team Challengers of Sahyadri having conquered the SAE Aero Design Challenge in the past, has set out to overcome the AIAA DBF Challenge this year. Based on the Proposal submitted by the team, they have been successfully shortlisted into the 115 teams and are all set to compete with world-renowned universities including Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Georgia Institute of Technology to name a few, in April 2021 at Wichita, USA.
The proposal summarizes the management of the team, the work distribution, team structure, milestones, and most importantly the technical approach of the team to the provided problem statement and the manufacturing method.
American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) is the world's largest aerospace technical society, with nearly 30,000 individual members from 85 countries across the globe. Annually, it conducts a Design/Build/Fly (DBF) competition which allows real-world aircraft design experience for engineering students by giving them the opportunity to validate their analytic studies.
