Mr. Jinto Thomas (M.Tech) CSE, project titled “Efficient Resource Utilization in Hadoop on Virtual Machines” and Ms. Sheethal P.N., Tania Ronald Mendonca, Yajnesh N. Rai, and Nobhunil Dutta’s, Semester VII, Computer Science & Engineering, project titled “Gene Mutation Detection And Analysing Emperical Big Data Using Hadoop” have made it to the All India level Unisys Cloud 20/20 student technical project contest version 6.0 under the guidance of Mr. Manjunath Mulimani and Mr. Sunil B.N. Assistant professors, Department of Computer Science & Engineering.

Vishnu T. N, Semester I, Civil Engineering, is an upcoming artist. He has participated and won many prizes in Dancing and Drawing Competitions held at the School and College level. He has also bagged the Second prize in the 200m race.

Students of Computer Science & Engineering, Information Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering & Master of Computer Applications of pool colleges will attend the Online Test by Mphasis. Students will be aspiring for the position of Software Developer in the company. The final interview by Mphasis will be held on the 28th of October 2014.

Corporate Social Responsibility: Free Health Checkup and Competition for the Healthy Child

Department of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Women and Child Development, Taluk Panchayath, Bantwal, and Lions and Lioness Club of Bantwal, has jointly organised on the occasion of Children Day celebration (14-11-2014) a free health checkup and competition for the healthy child below the age of 3, at Primary Health Center, Pudu Village, Bantwal Taluk on Tuesday, the 21st of October, 2014 from 9:00 A. M. to 12:00 Noon. The programme will be co-ordinated by Sahyadri Management Students Association members under the direction of Mr. B. Raghavendra Prabhu and Dr. Vidyavathi, Department of Business Administration. The whole programme has been sponsored by the College.
