Sahyadri Signs MoU with EHSRDC
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management and M/s Environmental Health and Safety Research & Development Centre (EHSRDC), Bangalore. The MoU will facilitate environmental clearance services through EIA consultancy, environmental laboratory services, technical and project consultancy for STP/ETP projects on turnkey basis.
Mr. Shivananda Damble, Chairman and Managing Director and Dr. Umesh M. Bhushi, Principal, signed the MoU in the presence of Dr. S. Manjappa, Director, Research and Consultancy, Prof. Umashanker B. S., Dean Academic, Prof. Dayanand Shetty, Director - STEP, Prof. Emeritus B. N. Karkera, Prof. Umesh, HoD, Department of Civil Engineering, and Prof. Balakrishna, HoD, Department of Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Damble said that the MoU will help students and staff to get wider exposure to technology, project work and internship. The MoU was facilitated through Dr. S. Manjappa, Director, Research and Consultancy.

Domain Specific Pre-placement Training for Semester VII Students
A three-day pre-placement training in Domain specific Programming in Java & Advanced Java/Embedded Programming/AutoCAD Designing and CAD Mechanical Designing has commenced in the Campus for students of Semester VII. A team headed by Prof. Sharada H. S., Training & Placement Officer, Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Bangalore, is conducting the hands on training for the students.

Sahyadri Talent
 Nikitha Shet, student of I B.E., Computer Science, is a multitalented person. She has bagged many prizes in Dance, Singing, Drawing, Public Speech and Tournaments. She has participated and won many prizes in sports. She has secured the Gold medal in Badminton held at the state level in 2012, and also in Table Tennis held at the Zonal and District level last two years. She has also secured Bronze medal in All India Table Tennis Tournament in 2013. She has bagged many prizes in Essay Writing, Recitation, Drawing, Painting, Dancing and Singing Competitions. She was honored by DSP, Mangalore while receiving ‘Upcoming Player in Badminton and Table Tennis’.
Upcoming Event
Freshers Day will be celebrated on Sunday, 21st of September 2014 at 10:30 A. M. in the Auditorium. Mr. E. S. Chakravarthy, Centre Head, Tata Consultancy Services, Bangalore, will be the Chief Guest. Dr. D. L. Prabhakara, Director, Sahyadri Educational Institutions will be the Guest of Honour. Mr. Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman will preside over the function.
