Mr. Anand G Naik, visits Sahyadri

Mr. Anand G Naik, Managing Director & CEO of BOREDBEES Tech Solutions India (P) Ltd. and a young entrepreneur who has embarked a 10,000 kms entrepreneurial journey visited our campus. He started from Chennai this month; will drive across 10 states, 25 Cities, addressing 30,000 young and potential entrepreneurs to motivate and take them to the energetic world of entrepreneurship. He strongly believes this initiative would bring a change in the mindset of the aspiring entrepreneurs. He founded his first company at the age of 17 and has received many awards for his work.

He interacted with the student co-ordinators of Entrepreneurship, Research and Project council and motivated them to become future entrepreneurs. He shared his startup experiences and gave his definition of entrepreneurship – 'convergence of all skills'. Students were greatly inspired by his talk and benefitted from this session.

Huawei Campus recruitment drive
Huawei is visiting Sahyadri on the 9th of September, 2015 to conduct pool campus recruitment drive for engineering students in the stream of CS, IS, EC and MCA of 2015 passed out batches.

The Chairman participates in the Asian Summit on Education & Skills (ASES) 2015

Chairman, Mr. Manjunath Bhandary participated in the Asian Summit on Education & Skills (ASES), 2015, held at Bangalore. He was invited as one of the delegates to the summit and had an opportunity to meet the Education & Skills Ministers from across Asia, the Indian Central and State ministries, Senior Policy Makers, Eminent & Senior Educationists, Owners of Educational Groups and other key stakeholders to share and deliberate on various issues pertaining to the policy & implementation of best practices in the education and training sector.

He also had a round of discussion with Dr. Sharanprakash Patil, Minister for Medical Education, Government of Karnataka & Dr. Assadullah Hanif Balkhi, Minister of Education, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

The Asian Summit on Education & Skills (ASES) brings together influential leaders, eminent educationists and other key stakeholders to create an unparalleled platform for exchange of dialogues on policy, implementation of future practices and new growth drivers that are revolutionizing the education and training sector in India and around the world. ASES recognizes the needs and desires of governments (national and state) in the Region to develop education at all levels; the ability of major industry players to play key roles in making change happen and the value of a regional summit to build consensus and promote confidence among decision-makers in their routes to successful policies. ASES is a partner event of the Education World Forum in London.

Sahyadri Research Team Visits Mangalore University for research Collaboration

Prof. Dr. Richard Pinto, Dr. Niraj Joshi and Dr. Jayarama A. visited Mangalore University and had the fruitful discussion with Prof. S.M Dharmaprakash for research collaboration based on pulsed laser deposition for the growth and study of thin films. They discussed the possible work such as alcohol detection and gas detection. Prof. S.M. Dharmaprakash also has the plan of setting a gas sensing measurement setup. He extended his collaboration to use all other instruments such as AFM, Vacuum coating unit and powder X-ray diffractometer.

Prof. S.M. Dharmaprakash, is an active researcher in the Department of Physics, Mangalore University. He has published more than 300 journal papers. His area of expertise is device physics, thin films, Crystallography and nonlinear optics.
