Department of Art and Culture celebrated the Teachers Day in the presence of Principal, Vice Principal, Dean Academics and the HOD’s of all departments. The student council representatives of cultural department were also present. The winners of the drawing competition held on the occasion of Teachers Day for the students were announced.

Software Engineers from Honeywell International Inc & CISCO Systems Bengaluru addressed Engineering Students
The Department of Information Science & Engineering has organized an Industry Expert Talk for the Final year students on 31st August 2019. Ms. Ramya R, Software Engineer, Honeywell International Inc., Bengaluru and Mr. Charan Kumar, Software Engineer, CISCO Systems Bengaluru were the resource persons.
During the session, Ms. Ramya R briefed the students about the good practices in Web development, Machine Learning and the current industry needs. Mr. Charan Kumar shared his seven years of industrial experience. He also briefed the students regarding the current industry needs and importance of good practices in programming.
CA Subbaramu, Finance Head – TESCO addresses MBA Students
Tesco, Finance Head CA Subbaramu had an interaction with final year MBA students on 3rd Sep’19. He addressed the students on corporate anxiety, corporate ethics and responsibilities. He emphasized that students should develop positive anxiety towards corporate. He also highlighted the importance of team work and adoption of VQ i.e. Value Quotient. In addition to this, he encouraged students to carry the attitude of learning throughout their life.
MBA Alumnus – The Asst. Marketing Manager at Audi Karnataka interacted with students
Mr. Chethan Anil Printo, working as an Asst. Marketing Manager, Audi Karnataka, visited the campus and addressed MBA-Marketing students on “How to handle Premier Consumers” as a part of curriculum programme of Consumer Behaviour on 4th Sep’19. He highlighted the Consumer Behavioural pattern on luxury, ultra-luxury consumers of Audi. He also shared details of the various marketing programmes organized by Audi for their premium customers. Chethan shared anecdotes on how Sahyadri provided opportunities to him in order to develop essential skills for the future market. Prof. Padmanabha B and Prof. Ramesh K G endorsed the various initiatives taken by Chethan Pinto during his course at Sahyadri.
Campus Recruitment Drive - Eleation Services Pvt Ltd.
Eleation Services Pvt Ltd. conducted an Online Assessment on 4th Sept'19 for the Mechanical & Civil Engineering students of 2020 outgoing batch. A total of 113 students participated in the test and the results are awaited.
Free Blood Test and Eye Check up Camp for Staff on the occasion of Teachers Day
In appreciation of the services rendered by the staff and to ensure their healthy living, Sahyadri NSS Unit and Sahyadri Health and Counselling Centre in association with Accu-Labs Diagnostic Centre and Delta Eye Hospital, Mangaluru organized Free Blood test and vision test camp in the campus. More than 150 staff members participated in the camp and benefited from the camp.

Ms. Krutika M Huragi has joined the Department of Civil Engineering as an Assistant Professor. She has completed her B.E in Civil Engineering from UBDTCE, Davanagere and M.Tech in Transportation Engineering & Management from JNNCE, Shimoga. Her area of specialization is Transportation Engineering Management.
