ECE Dept. organizes LaTeX Workshop for Sixth-Semester students

Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) organized a hands-on workshop titled “Art of Structured Writing: A LaTeX Workshop for Professional and Academic Success” on 8th April 2025, exclusively for sixth-semester students. The workshop aimed to introduce participants to LaTeX, a powerful tool for structured documentation, extensively used in academic writing, technical reporting, and professional CV development.
The session commenced with Dr. Sadhana Rai, Dept. of CSE (AI&ML), who provided an insightful introduction to Overleaf, an online LaTeX editor. She guided students through the fundamentals of LaTeX—setting up accounts, creating documents, and understanding the interface and basic syntax.
Building on this foundation, Prof. Ganaraj K, Dept. of CSE (AI&ML), led the next segment of the session with a practical focus. He demonstrated how LaTeX can be used to craft resumes and CVs using structured templates and formatting techniques. His session offered valuable tips on presenting academic and professional achievements with clarity, precision, and professionalism.
