Mahadeva Prasad from the Department of Electronics and Communication has been placed at System Controls for the role of Graduate Engineer.

CSE Research Paper Presented at AIHC 2025, National Institute of Technology, Calicut

The research paper titled “Multimodal Deep Learning Frameworks for Early Alzheimer's Disease Detection” authored by the students of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) - Navautsav G, Pankaj Kumar Mahto, Pradeep M Lamani, Preeti Bisanalli under the guidance of Ms. Alakananda K, was presented at the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence for Healthcare (AIHC 2025), under the “AI & Computer Vision” track, held on 10th to 12th December 2025, at National Institute of Technology Calicut, Kerala, India. publication in the Springer proceedings. The peer-reviewed and selected papers will be published as proceedings in the Springer “Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering (LNEE)” series.
This research introduces AlzDetect AI describing it as a sophisticated multimodal system capable of effectively integrating structural MRI, functional PET, and cogni-tive assessment data for detecting Alzheimer's disease. The study shows how combined multimodal fusion improves high-quality Alzheimer's staging. Explainability features build trust with doctors and make the model clear.

ECE students Advance to Round Two at RoboFiesta ‘25

Fifth-semester students Ashwin Suresh, Vaishak D Karkera, Neha Raj, and Sanjana Kumar Amate of the Dept of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) cleared the first round of RoboFiesta ‘25. They earned the opportunity to participate in the second round held at the RV Institute of Technology and Management.
During the on-site evaluation, the team presented their project on a Smart Public Distribution System (Smart PDS). The second round proved to be a highly enriching experience, offering valuable exposure to a competitive innovation environment, expert evaluation, and peer learning.
The interaction with the judging panel provided constructive feedback, helping the students identify limitations in their current approach while gaining insights into potential improvements and future enhancements. This experience significantly contributed to refining their problem-solving perspective, technical understanding, and confidence in presenting real-world solutions.

CSE Research Paper Accepted at World Congress on Smart Computing 2026

Research paper titled “Real-time Emergency Response System: An AI-Driven Approach to Disaster Management and Emergency Coordination” has been accepted for presentation at the 3rd World Congress on Smart Computing (WCSC 2026), to be held on January 10–11, 2026, at Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square, Bangkok, Thailand.
The paper will also be published in the proceedings of the conference, included in the SCOPUS-indexed Springer Book Series, Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems.

Skill Enhancement Course: Financial Modelling for final year MBAs

Dept. of Business Administration (MBA) organized a Skill Enhancement Course on “Financial Modelling” for final-year MBA (Finance and Dual Specialization) students from 11th to 19th Dec ‘2025, facilitated by Mr. Rahul Singh, Portfolio Manager and Founder of Artha Chanakya, and Mr. Deepak Ravishankar, Consultant for Accounting. The course began with the basics of MS-Excel and gradually progressed to advanced financial calculations, financial model development, model-building techniques, and data validation. It was designed to equip students with essential analytical and technical skills required for effective financial decision-making in a dynamic business environment.
The program offered strong practical exposure, especially in the areas of stock markets and investment opportunities, through real-life examples and hands-on exercises. Students gained insights into key areas such as Advanced MS-Excel, Financial Modelling, Leveraged Buyout (LBO), DCF valuation, interest and EMI calculations, impact of economic factors on financial markets, fundamentals and technical analysis, equity, derivatives, and other financial assets, enabling them to connect theoretical concepts with real-world financial applications. The course concluded with an assessment, and certificates were issued to students based on their performance.
