MBA faculty members from the Finance Specialisation - Prof. Awin Eric Cutinha, Prof. Sathwi Acharya, Prof. Akshatha P, Prof. Pavan Kumar Hegde, Prof. Anirudh Bhat, Prof. Pooja Yashwanth Rai, and Prof. Monisha Shetty have published a patent titled “Goal Based Automated Personal Finance Manager.”
The published patent with application number 202541055773 A, introduces an AI-driven system designed to dynamically manage personal finances by integrating real-time data from multiple sources such as bank accounts, investments, credit cards, and digital wallets. It allows users to set financial goals and leverages AI for dynamic goal adjustments by predicting life events using data from calendars, emails, and social media (with consent). The system includes real-time financial stress test simulations, micro-goal decomposition, and peer benchmarking to enhance user engagement and motivation. Transparent, explainable AI logic underpins all recommendations, while blockchain-based audit trails ensure immutability, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
