77th Anniversary of Republic Day celebrated at Sahyadri

On 26th Jan’2026, the 77th Anniversary of Republic Day was celebrated in the campus by unfurling the national flag by the Chief Guest – Mr. Vikas Uppal, Founder xTransMatrix.

Mr. Vikas Uppal, in his speech, shared a personal reflection, stating that although he grew up in Air Force schools, he was never able to be part of the services. Delivering his first-ever Republic Day address, he described the moment as a privilege. Speaking on institutional rights, he emphasized the greater responsibility that rests on today’s youth. In the context of the global economy, he highlighted that the role of educators has doubled—to nurture curious minds by providing students with ownership, space, an enabling environment, and time to prepare for the future of India. He stressed that developing learnability skills is the need of the hour and concluded by urging teachers to affirm their commitment by repeating, “We will do it.”

Dr. S. S. Injaganeri, Principal, addressed the gathering on the occasion of Republic Day, highlighting India’s remarkable achievements since Independence. He emphasized that Republic Day is not merely a celebration, but a reminder of our collective responsibility towards the nation. Stressing the need to prepare students for the future, he encouraged them to become lifelong learners and to focus on building sustainable sources of income. He concluded by stating that the future truly belongs to those who continue to learn, adapt, and contribute meaningfully to society.

Post his speech; students recited Bankim Chandra’s, ‘Vande Mataram’, the National Song. Trustee Mr. Jagannath Chowta, Deans and HODs of various departments, the Company Heads, faculty and students were a part of the occasion.
