MBA students recruited by Prakash Pvt Ltd (Harsha)

Final year MBA students - Darshan U Shetty, Nishanth B B, Madan, Abhishek TD, Vijeth Dayanand Naik, G G Kavana Rani, N V Rashmitha, M Mallikarjun, M A Anush Ganapathy, Ashwin Nagesh Jogi and Nikhil K N have been recruited by Prakash Pvt Ltd (Harsha) for the role of Management Trainee.
Harsha began their journey in 1983 with the establishment of Prakash Electric Company, a distribution business committed to quality and customer trust. By 1986, Harsha had successfully captured a significant share of the market, which inspired them to venture into the organized retail space, a bold move at a time when organized retailing was virtually unknown in India.

National Environment Week Celebration (June 5th to June 11th, 2025): Poster Making Competition

As part of the ongoing National Environment Week celebrations, a Poster Making Competition on the theme “Plastic-Free Future – In My Vision” was conducted on June 11th, 2025. The posters were judged by Dr. Ramakrishna, Dept. of Mechanical engineering and Prof. Smitha, Dept. of Civil Engineering.

Sahyadri Advances to Regional Finals of NFLQ 2025

Sahyadri has qualified for the Regional Finals under Post Graduate Category of the "National Financial Literacy Quiz (NFLQ) 2025," organized by the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM). This marks the third edition of the prestigious quiz, and notably, Sahyadri had qualified for the National Finals in both previous editions. In this year’s format, regional finals have been newly introduced, and Sahyadri has secured its place in the Southern Region Finals. A total of 312 MBA students participated in the preliminary rounds of NFLQ which was coordinated by Mr. Ramesh K G, Dean-Strategic Planning, who is representing the college as the resource person to organize the event at the college level.
The Regional Finals will be held in Bengaluru on the 5th and 6th of July 2025. Winners from this round will earn the opportunity to compete in the National Finals at the NISM Campus in Mumbai later this year.
NFLQ 2025 is a flagship nationwide competition aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students, offering them a dynamic platform to test and enhance their understanding of financial literacy and securities markets. With regional rounds hosted across six zones and a national grand finale, the quiz fosters learning, healthy competition, and excellence in financial knowledge.
NISM, established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), is dedicated to strengthening financial education and enhancing the standards of the securities markets in India. Through initiatives like NFLQ, NISM continues its mission to empower students with vital financial skills and promote a financially informed youth across the country.
