Cancellation Policy

This policy defines the rules and guidelines governing the cancellation of admissions, academic courses, hostel bookings, or other services.
1. Academic Admission Cancellations
Cancellation of admission must be submitted in writing by the student/parent and addressed to the Registrar/Principal of Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management.
- Admissions cancelled prior to the commencement of the academic term/year will be eligible for a refund of fees after standard administrative deductions in compliance with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), AICTE, and UGC regulations.
- No cancellation requests or refunds will be entertained once the academic session has commenced, except in special cases approved by the management.
2. General Student Services & Activities
For student events, value-added courses, training sessions, or other campus-led activities:
- Cancellation requests must be submitted at least 2 working days before the scheduled start or closing date of registration.
- No cancellation is permitted once registration closes, the event/activity commences, or login access credentials are provided.
3. Hostel & Accommodation Cancellations
Students wishing to cancel their hostel accommodation must submit a written request to the Warden/Hostel Committee. Room booking cancellations are subject to hostel policy rules and deductions for block booking, utilities, or occupancy period already completed.
