Delegation from Section Infin-8 Foundation Visit Sahyadri

A delegation from Section Infin-8 Foundation (SI-8) visited Sahyadri on Saturday, 25th October, 2025. The team included Dr. Shivakiran Makam, Director (Strategy & Collaboration), SI-8 and Execution Partner, Mission UTTHAN; Mr. Chandra Moulli N, Consulting Director, Global Technology & Strategy and GCC Expert; Ms. Bhuvaneshwari S, Senior Startup Advisor & Fundraising Specialist; Mr. Venkat Saiprasad, Industry Leader & Sustainability Consultant; and Mr. Senthil Kumar, Incubation Strategist & Innovation Ecosystem Expert, Mr. Aravind Kumar, CEO, SI-8 along with their teammates.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Principal and faculty members of Sahyadri. A brief interaction was held with Chairman Mr. Manjunath Bhandary, during which he shared an overview of the institution. Dr. Shivakiran Makam presented insights into the initiatives of Section Infin-8 Foundation and Mission UTTHAN.

During the campus visit, the dignitaries visited the academic blocks and incubation centre, where the Chairman highlighted Sahyadri’s state-of-the-art skill development labs, innovation hubs, and incubation facilities fostering student innovation and entrepreneurship.

Placement and Training: Sahyadri’s Global Footprint Grows with ₹30 LPA Placements at Murata Machinery, Japan

Mr. Bharath Rai from the Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Department and Ms. Ankitha V V from the Robotics & Automation Department have been placed at Murata Machinery, Japan, for the roles of Embedded Software Engineer and Mechanical Engineer, respectively, with an impressive package of ₹30 LPA. This outstanding achievement is a testament to their dedication, technical excellence, and the strong placement culture at Sahyadri.

Indian Utility Patent Filed by Mechanical and Robotics Engineering Team

An Indian Utility Patent titled “Smart Fish Hook” has been filed with the application number 202541098668 by a team comprising Mr. Shravan Kumar, Seventh Semester, Robotics Engineering; Mr. Keerthan Kumar, Seventh Semester, Mechanical Engineering; Mr. Adithya S. R., Seventh Semester, Mechanical Engineering, and Dr. Ajith B. S., Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering. The invention represents an innovative approach that combines intelligent sensing technology with ergonomic design principles to enhance the efficiency and safety of fishing activities.

Finance Club organizes a workshop on 'Reading Financial Statements' for MBA Finance Students

The Finance Club of the Department of Business Administration organised a workshop on “Elevating Excellence: Mastering Financial Statements from Classroom Learning to Boardroom Decisions” on 25th October 2025. The session was facilitated by CMA Ramsankar Mishra, Senior Manager (Finance), Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), Mangaluru.

During the workshop, CMA Mishra shared practical insights into the interpretation and analysis of financial statements, connecting classroom learning with real-world financial decision-making. His session emphasized the role of financial data in driving strategic decisions at the boardroom level.

CMA Ramsankar Mishra is a distinguished finance professional and recipient of multiple prestigious awards. He was the winner of the 5th CMA Young Achiever Award in 2017 and received the Individual Award of Excellence from the Managing Director of MRPL during Refine Fest 2025 for his outstanding performance in furnishing key financial data and analysis for strategic decision-making. He also bagged the 8th CMA Achiever Award 2024 (Outstanding Performer) under the Public – Manufacturing – Mega category from The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, presented by Shri Bhartruhari Mehtab, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and Chairperson, Standing Committee on Finance, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 23rd June 2025.

Research Club in Collaboration with Finance Club organizes a Session on Mendeley Software

In a knowledge-enriching session held on 24th October 2025, the Department of Business Administration organized a workshop titled “The Alpha in Your Research” on Mendeley Reference Manager for Finance Researchers. The session was conducted by Prof. Sanath Kumar K, who guided students through the practical applications of Mendeley for managing citations, organizing research papers, and enhancing academic writing efficiency.

This session, jointly organized by the Research Club and Finance Club, equipped MBA students with essential research and referencing skills crucial for academic and professional excellence.

Sahyadri College is pleased to welcome Prof. (Dr.) D. P. Agrawal, Ex-Chairman, UPSC, and Dr. Urmila A. Patil, Professor of Electronics and Telecommunication, Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology, Savitribai, who will be visiting the campus on Monday, 27th October 2025.
The visit aims to discuss the establishment of the proposed Skill University and explore opportunities for academic collaboration and skill-based education initiatives at Sahyadri.
