Semnox Solutions has successfully recruited 8 talented students from Sahyadri marking yet another significant achievement for Sahyadri. The selected students represent a diverse range of disciplines, showcasing their versatility and readiness to excel in the global IT industry.

The candidates include: Alok Illur from Data Science; Devan Pal from AIML; Deelan Lasrado from CSE; Shivan Naik from ECE; Apeksha Kini, Ashika K J, Shwetha K S and Sri Shreya from ISE Department. This accomplishment reflects the exceptional skills, dedication, and industry preparedness of the students.

Dr. Pradip Sarkar, NIT Roorkela, Professor, Structural Engineering; Dr. Robin Davie, NIT Calicut, Professor, Structural Engineering; Dr. Balu, NITK Surathkal, Professor, Civil Engineering; Mr. Arun, IIT-Palakkad, Professor, Civil Engineering; Mr. Ravi Kumar Gubbala, Tech Lead, Oasys Structural, Arup; Mr. Gopal Prasad Patel, Deputy General Manager, Civil Engineering, BHEL Hyderabad; Mr. Koyya V V Satyanarayana, Section Manager – Bridges Jacobs were at the campus to interact with their batchmate, the Principal Dr. S S Injaganeri and also visit the student centric initiatives at Sahyadri. They were amazed by the infrastructure made available to the students and found it world class as they visited other institutes too and Sahyadri was very unique in its innovative approach. It was an honour to have such notable guests in the campus.

Sahyadri Girls Volleyball Team emerge as Runners-up in the Adrenaline UG Inter-Collegiate Volleyball Women Championship held at Father Muller College, Mangaluru on 3rd October, 2024.

Faculty and Students participated in IEEE DAY 2024 Celebration organized by IEEE Mangalore Subsection and student secured first place in coding competition

IEEE Mangalore subsection organized the IEEE Day 2024 on October 02, 2024, in the Cuboid of wrkwrk, Yeyyadi, Mangaluru. Every year IEEE Mangalore Subsection celebrates IEEE day with Late Prof. K M Hebbar Memorial Lecture. Prof. Hebbar was a life member of IEEE and former professor of KREC Surathkal and NMAMIT, Nitte. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte and Past Chair, IEEE MSS who was also the colleague of Prof. Hebbar.

Prof. Niranjan N Chiplunkar gave the lecture on “India Emerging as a Semiconductor Manufacturing Hub”. He illustrated how semiconductor industry has grown in India over the years and discussed its prospects in future with relevant facts and figures. He explained issues and challenges in the manufacturing of semiconductors.
Mr. Nithesh Alva, from CSE (AI&ML) secured first place in the online coding competition “Codesprint” organized as part of IEEE day. Dr. G S Hiremath, SAC Chair of IEEE MSS and branch counsellor and IEEE students were part of celebration.

AEnCES Council Elections 2024: New Leaders emerge in the ECE Dept.

On 1st Oct, 2024, the AEnCES Council of the Electronics and Communication Department conducted elections for key positions, including Secretary, Vice President, Joint Secretary, and Historians. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, showcasing strong engagement within the department. Candidates for the roles of President, Treasurer, Sports Head, Technical Head, and Cultural Head were unanimously selected, highlighting a spirit of unity and collaboration.

The oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected AEnCES council members was held on 3rd Oct, 2024. The Head of the Department, Dr. Anush Bekal, and the AEnCES Coordinator, Prof. Megha Narayan, graced the event as guests of honour. They addressed the new office bearers, emphasizing the importance of leadership, teamwork, and responsibility in fostering a vibrant student body.
Each council member took an oath, pledging their commitment to their duties and the department’s growth. The ceremony concluded with an inspiring speech by Dr. Anush Bekal, encouraging the team to work diligently for the department's progress and the overall development of students.

Dr. Prabhu engages a session for the all-India customers of UCO bank

Dr. Ananth Prabhu G, Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Principal Investigator at the Digital Forensics and Cyber Security Centre of Excellence was invited by the UCO Bank to deliver a online session on "Internet Banking safety" as a part of the Cyber Safe Horizon by UCO Bank. CISO

Mr Mohammad Sabir delivered the inaugural address. The talk was livestreamed on YouTube.
