Cleanliness Drive at Sasihithlu Beach

Sahyadri NSS unit in association with Surf Swamy surfing club participated in the Beach Cleaning Drive at Sasihithlu beach on 1st March 2025. It witnessed enthusiastic participation of NSS student volunteers.
The wastes collected during the beach cleaning activities were meticulously sorted into different categories, with a primary focus on recyclable materials. Students separated various types of plastics, including bottles, containers, and packaging materials.
A total of 52 NSS volunteers participated along with Dr. Gurusiddaiah, Dr. Poornima, Prof. Trivikram, Prof. Shwetha Suresh Naik, Ms. Rashmitha G Nishal, Mr. Nikhil Rao. The program was coordinated by Ms. Smitha Shenoy NSS Program Officer.

ECE students secure Internships at RDL Technologies Pvt Ltd

Five students from the Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering—Deekshith V Gatty, Deekshith C Achar, Megharsh, Vidya S Kadlibalamath, and Santhosh Kumar—have secured internship positions at RDL Technologies Pvt Ltd.
RDL Technologies Pvt Ltd. is a leading enterprise specializing in IoT products and software solutions. The company is at the forefront of Industrial AI IoT, driving end-to-end digital transformation by integrating Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT).
This internship offers valuable industry exposure, equipping students with hands-on experience in emerging IoT and communication technologies.

Research Papers of CSE (Cybersecurity) students have been accepted for presentation in an International Conference in Dehradun

The paper titled ‘AttackGAN: GAN-Based Framework for Testing and Enhancing NIDS Resilience’, authored by CSE Cyber Security students Mohammed Anoodh Uchil, Rajat Ram Talekar, Sanjan A P, Varun V under the guidance of Dr. Shreema Shetty, Associate Professor, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering, has been accepted in International Conference on Advancement in Cyber Security And Digital Forensics (ICACSDF2025), Dehradun.
This paper is a research project that applies Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) to generate realistic adversarial network traffic designed to test and improve Network Intrusion Detection Systems (NIDS). AttackGAN helps security researchers strengthen NIDS performance, expand training datasets with synthetic threats, and explore how adversarial AI techniques can be used in both offense and defense in cybersecurity. The proceedings of ICACSDF2025 will be published in Scopus indexed Springer Book Series: Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems.
