Dr.Vittal Prabhu, Penn State University, US visits Sahyadri

Dr.Vittal Prabhu, Professor, Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Director, Service Enterprise Engineering (SEE 360) an Initiative of Penn State University, United States of America, visited Sahyadri. He held an interactive session with the engineering and management students on the teaching learning process in the US. He explained as to how the students were able take up social issues, find solution through case studies and innovative methods. He explained as to how creativity is going to be the key differentiating factor while explaining the top skill sets required for workplace success by 2020.
Mr. Prabhu also interacted with the chairman and discussed about the collaborative work that our faculty and students can take up with the Penn State University. He visited in-house industries and appreciated the management efforts in embedding industry culture in the educational institution to make students industry ready.
