Two-Day Workshop for Faculty on NBA-OBE related Practices

A Two-Day Workshop on NBA–OBE Practices was organized as a part of the Induction Programme for the newly joined faculty to the Academic Year 2019 - 20 during 18th to 19th July 2019 in order to acquaint them with the processes involved in NBA accreditations. Dr. R Srinivasa Rao Kunte, Principal addressed the participants with regards to the importance of Accreditation. Dr. Rajesha S, Dean-Academics; Dr. Ravichandra, Dean–Industry Connect & Head of Dept. of Mechanical Engineering; Dr. Shamanth Rai, Head of Dept. of Information Science and Engineering; Prof. Rashmi Bhandary, Head of Placements; Dr. Rathishchandra Gatty, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering; Prof. Vasudev Rao P V, Dept. of Information Science and Engineering and Prof. Samarth Shenoy, Dept. of Business Administration facilitated the workshop covering topics such as Introduction to OBE Process, Preparation of Pre-Qualifier Report (PQR) and Self-Assessment Report (SAR), Course Objectives formation , CO-PO-PSO Mapping, Course File Preparation, Direct and Indirect tools, Rubrics, OBE attainment calculation in MS Excel and SIP/SPSS Projects. The sessions were followed by Hands-on practice and presentation by faculty members on CO formation and Mapping, Course File Preparation and Direct and Indirect tools usage for Odd Semester 2019-20. The workshop concluded with FAQ session and Feedback.
