Sahyadri signs MOU with Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), USA

Virginia Commonwealth University, USA and Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Mangaluru have signed a MOU with a view to enhance relations between the two institutions and to develop academic and cultural exchange to advance the discovery of new knowledge, creative expression and innovation, enhance teaching and learning, and strengthen the positive impact on their communities, agree to work together toward the internationalization of higher education at their respective institutions.
The Areas of Cooperation will include discussion of programs to be potentially offered by either institution which might be desirable and feasible for the development and strengthening of cooperative relationships between the two institutions.
On 8th April’19, Prof. Ramesh K G and Prof. Girish Madla had met Dr. Nanda Rangan, Associate Dean-International and Strategic Initiatives, School of Business, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), USA at Bengaluru in connection with the tie-up between Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Mangaluru and Virginia Commonwealth University, USA.
With an intention to move towards a stronger collaboration, a Webinar on "Globalization and International Marketing: Meaning and Significance to Countries, Organizations and Individuals!" by Dr. Van R Wood, Philip Morris Chair in International Business and Professor of Marketing, Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business was held on 21st Nov’19 for the MBA students.
Virginia Commonwealth University, USA has earned both business and accounting accreditations by AACSB International, placing it in the top 5 percent of business schools worldwide. VCU was the first business school in USA to be accredited by the Computing Commission of ABET, the recognized accreditor of college and university programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering and engineering technology. Since its founding in 1937, the VCU School of Business has built strong ties with the business community in Richmond and beyond.
