Chairman attends Eisenhower Fellowships Global Conference – “The Future of Education” at Colombia, USA

Eisenhower Fellowships convened thought leaders from around the world for the Global Conference – “The Future of Education” at Cartagena, Colombia, USA, during 13th to 16th Feb’2020 to explore the Future of Education, a critical issue affecting every corner of the planet. Mr. Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman-Bhandary Foundation attended the conference where he met the Mayor of Cartagena – Mr. William Jorge Dau Chamat. He also had the honour to interact with the First Lady of Colombia – Mrs. H E Maria Juliana Ruiz Sandoval, the wife of Colombian President Ivan Duque who shared the Opening remarks during the conference.
What knowledge, skills, attitudes and values will today’s a student need to thrive and shape the world? How can technology and innovation improve educational opportunities for underserved populations? What lessons can we learn from places with promising innovative approaches to learning? How do we align our educational systems with future workforce needs and create widespread access to continuous learning that future workers will require to adapt to rapid change? These are among the questions that were addressed in big-picture plenary panel discussions and short, tightly focused talks by thought leaders. 

This three-day global conference saw participation from educational thinkers, high-tech innovators, business leaders, government officials and other prominent experts. Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, Wellingkar Education was also one among the participants of the Global Conference.
