Student Counsellor conducts an Informative Session in Commemoration of Matrubhasha Divas at Sahyadri

Mother language or Mother-tongue is one of the most precious gifts that we have in our lives. Each and every language spoken throughout the globe represents a unique and distinct cultural heritage. The United Nations has declared 21.02.2020 as International Mother Language Day (Matrubhasha Divas).
In commemoration of Matrubhasha Divas, an Informative Session was conducted by Mr. Ankith S Kumar, Student Counsellor & Faculty of Humanities for the engineering and MBA students on 20th Feb’2020.
The session revolved mainly around the origins, traditions, culture and development of regional mother languages like Tulu, Kannada, Konkani, Beary, Havyaka etc. The students were given a tour into the past, present and the future of their mother language and traditions.
