CSE Dept. organized Technical Talk & Technical Activity for Second and Third Year Students

Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering organized a Technical Talk and Technical Activity for Second and Third Year Computer Science & Engineering students in the Nethravathi Auditorium on 20th April’2021.
The first session was facilitated by Mr. Shivaprasadh Shetty, an alumnus from the first batch of Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering who is presently working in Informatica, as a Business Manager. He gave encouraging examples from his own life and inspired students to be a self-motivator. He gave some most beneficial points and tips related to the placements to the students to concentrate on studies and achieve their goals. He also guided the students related to what they can do currently that can help them crack technical interview.
The next session was conducted by Dr. Anantha Prabhu, Associate Professor, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering. He interacted with the students and gave a presentation on Cyber Security. His talk geared on various facets of Cyber Stalking, Extortion, Spoofing, Cyber Crimes and Cyber Forensics. He discussed about very interesting Crime Investigation case studies and engaged the students in the discussion. His talk also touched upon the Privacy Policy for various applications that are freely available. He explained about the usage of Disposable Email Accounts and also shared its importance. Dr. Anantha Prabhu also discussed about NETIQUETTES – the network etiquette, the Do's and Don'ts of online communication.
Students then had learning-based activities related to Computer Science which included Jumbled words and Crossword puzzle (wordscapes). The day concluded by awarding best performing students in the activities by Dr. Pushpalatha K, Head of the Department.
