ISE Dept. organized a Workshop on “Technical writing using LATEX”

Dept. of Information Science & Engineering in association with STAISE, ISTE, IEEE Student Branch and Sahyadri- IIC organized Workshop on “Technical writing using LATEX” on 4th Dec, 2021 at 09:00 AM IST for the students of Information Science & Engineering in Online Mode using Google Meet platform. The Resource Person for the workshop was Dr. Rajeev Ranjan, Associate Professor, Reva University.
During the workshop, Dr. Rajeev Ranjan highlighted the importance of LATEX for technical writing. He demonstrated the process of account creation in Share Latex – Online LATEX Editor to create a Latex File. The topics like Structure of Latex Document, Packages, Chapters, Sections and Subsections, Lists, Tables, Figures were demonstrated during the workshop.
Further, the resource persons gave insights on developing database applications using Python Flask and related tools along with their applications. An application developed by them was also demonstrated. The session was beneficial to the students and was able to gain knowledge on report writing using LATEX. A total of 115 Students and 2 faculty members from ISE Dept. participated in the workshop.
