A talk on "Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning and Mathematics" facilitated by Dr. Ashok Rao, Rt.Professor and Head, Netowrk Project at CEDT, IISc Bangalore was organized by Dept. of Basic Science for the students of Third semester AI/ML and Data Science on 24th Feb, 2022.
Dr. Ashok Rao exposed the students to AI/ML/DL related issues. He demonstrated the Deep Learning Application such as Convolutional Neural Networks. He also introduced the fundamentals of AI/ML/DL with their real time examples. Despite its widespread lack of familiarity, AI is a technology that is transforming every walk of life. It is a wide-ranging tool that enables people to rethink how we integrate information, analyse data, and use the resulting insights to improve decision making. Our hope through this comprehensive overview is to explain AI to an audience of policymakers, opinion leaders, and interested observers, and demonstrate how AI already is altering the world and raising important questions for society, the economy, and governance. He concluded the session by quoting "Serve Humanity at the best". Basic Science HOD- Dr. Prashantha Rao, Dr. Priya Kamath Associate Professor Of CSE dept, Dr. Pushpalatha CS HOD, Dr. Shamanth Rai IS HOD were available for the session. Prof. Soumyashree from English Department facilitated it.
