Faculty receives Prestigious PANIYAADI Award for Tulu Novel

Prof. Akshaya Shetty, Dept. of Humanities, received the famous PANIYAADI AWARD-2021 organized by Tulukuta, Udupi for her Tulu novel ‘Denga’.
The award is given in the name of S U Paniyaadi, who was a freedom fighter and famous writer in Tulu Language. Prof. Akshaya Shetty received 28th Paniyaadi award and from the last 27 years, eminent Novelists of Tulu Literature have received this award. ‘Denga’ novel will be released in the award function. Before this, Prof. Akshaya Shetty received awards for second book, i.e. collection of poems and stories.
