National Voter’s Day Celebration

National Voter’s Day is celebrated on 25th January to encourage the youth to participate in the voting electoral process. It was started from 25th Jan, 2011 to mark Commission's foundation day. It is celebrated in order to encourage the youth to participate in the electoral process but also focuses on the fact that the right to vote is a basic right. The theme of this year’s celebration of National Voters Day is “Making Elections Inclusive, Accessible and Participative”. On account of National Voter’s Day, Sahyadri actively took part in the pledge taking ceremony, where students took the pledge of voting without fail and without any prejudice based on caste, religion, race, community, language or any other inducement.
