Valedictory and Felicitation Program of District Level Cancer Awareness Campaign-2022 was organized by Indian Red Cross Society of Karnataka State Branch and Dakshina Kannada District Branch, Mangaluru in association with Science Centre, Pilikula. The event was held on 30th April, 2022 at Science Centre, Pilikula Nisargadhama, Vamanjoor, Mangaluru.
Prof. P. Subrahmanya Yadapadithaya, Vice-Chancellor of Mangalore University; Prof. Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice-Chancellor, NITTE University (Deemed to be); Dr. Shamanth Rai, Dean-Academics of Sahyadri; Sri. G. Venkatesh, Commissioner, Pilikula Development Authority, Vamanjoor and Sri Devadas Hegde, Trustee of Sahyadri graced the program with their presence. Sri. Shantharam Shetty, Chairman, IRCS Dakshina Kannada District Branch, Mangaluru, presided the Cancer Awareness Program.
Formal function was followed by felicitation and honour for outstanding service teams and individuals. As a part of centenary celebration year of Indian Red Cross Society, Certificate of Appreciation was awarded to Sahyadri and Smt. Shreelatha U A, Youth Red Cross Nodal Officer, Sahyadri received the award for exemplary contribution in successful completion of District Level Cancer Awareness Project 2022.
