Sahyadrians attend Karnataka Coastline Business & Maritime Conclave 2022 organized by FICCI

Prof. Ramesh K G, Dean-Strategic Planning and Mr. Gouse Khan, Centre Head-NAIN Centre, attended the Karnataka Coastline Business & Maritime Conclave 2022 organized by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) at Ocean Pearl, Mangaluru. Sri. Murugesh Nirani, Hon'ble Minister for Medium and Large Scale Industries, Govt. of Karnataka inaugurated the conclave and briefed the audience about the roadmap for economic activities planned for the 320 km long coastline of Karnataka. Mr. Nalin Kumar Kateel, Member of the Parliament; Mr. Kapil Mohan, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary & CEO, Karnataka Maritime Board; Mr. Gaurav Gupta, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Infrastructure Development Port & Inland Water Transport; Dr. Venkata Ramana Akkaraju, Chairman, New Mangalore Port Authority; Mr. M Venkatesh, MD, MRPL; Mr. Ullas Kamath, Chairman, FICCI Karnataka State Council and Mr. Shashidhar Pai Maroor, President, KCCI Mangaluru were present for the conclave. Five Entrepreneurs of Mangaluru were honoured for their successful journey representing the coastal belt.
Post the inaugural function there were presentations made on Sagarmala Projects, Reviving the Trade ties with Lakshadweep, Coastal Community Livelihood Development, Greenfield Opportunities in the state of Karnataka followed by a discussion on Opportunities and Issues in the maritime sector. The State Bank India officials made a presentation on products and services offered for MSME and industries.
