Industrial Visit: Pre-final year Civil Engineering students

An Industrial Visit was organized by SPACE, an Association under the Dept. of Civil Engineering for the students of Pre-final year Civil Engineering students. A total of 45 students were accompanied by two faculty members. The visit included the visit to CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre, Chennai which is one of the 39 constituent laboratories of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research in India. The institute is a certified ISO:9001 quality institute. During the visit, students got an insight into the research methodologies in the field of structural engineering. They also visited Matrimandir, which is a golden spherical structure located in the experimental Township in Auroville.
