Team Challengers: Selected for the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon

Team Nautica headed by Varun Raj Melanta of 2nd-year Mechanical Engineering who is a part of Team Challengers of Sahyadri has been selected for the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon to be held in August'2022.
The team comprises of - Dion McNeil Dsouza, Rakshith K and Aheesh Rao of 2nd-year Mechanical Engineering; Sheshadri S Sakalathi of 2nd-year Electronics & Communication Engineering and Nireeksha U of 1st-year AIML Department. These are all a part of Team Challengers. The team is mentored by Mr. Prajwal Shetty and Mr. Pranav Sathish. Currently, the team is now in the prototype phase that will be later showcased in the Grand Finale. The team is working on a problem statement provided by the National Disaster Relief Force to design and develop an efficient underwater Rover for search, rescue, and recovery operations. Smart India Hackathon is a National Level event under the initiative of Govt. of India for Science and Technology. Students and Industry professionals take part in this event to crack problem statements provided by industries and ministries.
