Faculty and Students Selected for Indian Knowledge System (IKS) Internship Project 2022-23

Dr. Prashantha Rao and Prof. Akshaya Kumari Shetty are selected as mentors from Sahyadri, out of 249 mentors from all over India for the Indian Knowledge System Internship Project 2022-23 organized in association with AICTE. Sonia Vinaykumar Kambli (Vedic Mathematics), Yamini R (Sahitya and Kala), Aniruddha Wagle (Sahitya and Kala), Nandesh (Vedic Mathematics) and Sourabha S (Sustainable Agriculture and Food Preservation Method) are the selected students from first year engineering. It's a two-month internship program scheduled to be held during July 15th to 15th September, 2022.
The IKS Internship program is designed to encourage and enthuse youth to take up deeper study of various topics related to IKS in Bharateeya Bhashas. Eighteen streams were introduced, where students can choose to do their internship. The focus is to create opportunities for students to contribute and be involved in active research during the summer breaks or anytime during the year. It is two months internship program. And each intern will be awarded a stipend of 10,000/- month for two months and 5,000/- for travel and other miscellaneous expenses.
