Dept of Civil Engineering organizes Workshop on Scientific and Technical Research Paper writing for the faculties of Civil Engineering. The resource person was Dr. Gautam J.P., Department of Chemical Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal. He has published papers in highly reputed journals. In his address, Dr. Gautam emphasized the need for publishing the research papers based on the research findings to have better professional growth in the field of teaching. He educated the faculties as to how to choose a publisher and also spoke about high-quality journals, the challenges faced by an author in publishing high-quality peer-reviewed journals and how to overcome those challenges. Finally, he demonstrated the way of submitting a research paper. Overall, the participants found the Workshop comprehensive and useful.
