Aerophilia 2019 - Valedictory

Aerophilia 2019, a Two-Day National Level Aeromodelling competition was held in the campus and ISRO Hackathon was a part of this mega event. Aerophilia was inaugurated on 20th Sep, 2019 by the Guests Mr. Manish Saxena, Mr. Akhileshwar Reddy, Mr. AkshayPande, Ms. KanikaJakhar and Mr. Prasun Kumar. This was followed by a workshop headed by the Senior ISRO Scientist - Ms. KanikaJakhar, explaining briefly about NavIC (Navigation with Indian Constellation) including data transfers through Bluetooth, USB cable and through GPRS. The next session was handled by CEO of DSI - Mr. Sachin Ganesh & team, who briefed about practical use of these devices and use of MIT App Inventor.

After attending workshops and the sessions, participants worked on projects implementing the NavIC devices provided by ISRO. The participants enthusiastically started working on their own idea which required the choice of devices provided and implementing it using an application or a website.
On 21st Sep, 2019, there was a technical talk given by Mr. Manish Saxena, which was conducted for students from Dept. of Electronics & Communication and First year followed by the technical assistance by DSI and supported by other launch pads.

The 36 hours ISRO Hackathon came to an end with all participants gaining knowledge about their idea and getting exposed to NavIC modules by providing a hands-on experience to them.

The Hackathon concluded on 22nd Sep, 2019, with the pitching session by 20 teams coming from various colleges including MITE, SDIT, SJEC, Indian Navy, MITS, BIT, MHSC, IIAEM-Jain University, EEC, SMVITM, and SMVEC. After which, there was an evaluation session done by the ISRO jury members. The event ended with a Valedictory Ceremony.
